And this is why you should always have something to ground you when high...
...and why your "friends" shouldn't dose you without your knowledge.
Something as simple as a toothache or touching the ground with bare feet (weather permitting) is usually enough to remind people that there is a reality, even if they're spun out of their gourd at that moment.
