Actually theres a fundamental limit to how much processing power we have within the brain, it needs energy from food to run.
And AI will totally wipe the floor with us once it reaches recursive self improvement. ie an AI that can redesign its self.

OP might be talking about a DMT sort of drug which could allow human minds to somehow work as a network or hive mind.
