The reason why Hong Kong teens hate China is because they use Western social media. And Western social media usually encourage young people to give everything away to foreigners and hate their own country. If you say something patriotic on Facebook, guess what? You get banned. But if you say stuff like open the border and let everybody in, Facebook will help you increase your exposure.

This is why Hong Kong teens hate China so much. Everybody can see Hong Kong is full of freedom. But yet they uphold banners asking for freedom. And each time a demand is met, they create another demand. They won't quit until their own country China breaks apart.

Western Social media also damages the principle of democracy. Because social media affected the way how people vote. If you say something patriotic, they delete your post. But if you say we should give everything away to foreigners, your post will move up the list and get more exposure. Then of course it affects the way how people vote. This toxic cycle must be stopped.
