Oh yeah, you saw through the tricks alright and fucked yourselves over. what caused the downfall of Alberta and BC.. same as what happened in West Coast of USA.. all the losers, bums, socialists, hippies, drunks, partiers, druggies, commies, welfare cases etc.. gravitated to those places because they were WELL OFF.. to suck on the teat! add to that governments loading the places with immigrants and immigrants moving there from other parts of the country since they have no loyalty other than to a job and economic prosperity... in several decades even paradise can be destroyed.. but you don't see any of this?
