The "gay" trannies are pretty few and far between. Drag/crossdressing has little to do with the trans movement and is considered in the community as more of an art form than anything else. Most Drag queens only dress up when they perform, do not live life in Women's clothing, and have no desire to get their junk operated on.

Do I think it's appropriate in schools? No. But, realize this "drag queen story hour" isn't something that was ever pushed in the gay rights movement. It's been pushed by trannies who have co-opted the gay rights orgs which have sat mostly idle in the US since gays basically received equal rights in the early 2000s.

There is plenty of push back within the gay community, but just like straight people the gays/lesbians are labelled CIS & gender spectrum hating bigots by the SJW/trans movement to the point of being publicly attacked for their views.
