Those that refuse to believe in God don't believe in nothing
Those that refuse to believe in God don't then believe in nothing,
they believe in anything.

Re: Those that refuse to believe in God don't believe in nothing
Malcolm Muggeridge, the British journalist who was largely responsible for bringing Mother Teresa to the world’s attention, once said:

One of the peculiar sins of the twentieth century which we’ve developed to a very high level is the sin of credulity. It has been said that when human beings stop believing in God they believe in nothing. The truth is much worse: they believe in anything.
(Malcolm Muggeridge and Christopher Ralling, Muggeridge Through the Microphone, British Broadcasting Corporation, 1967, p. 44)

Re: Those that refuse to believe in God don't believe in nothing
The Seven Most Popular G.K. Chesterton Quotes He Never Said

“When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing — they believe in anything.”

Wikiquotes has explanation of this and the other form it takes, “The first effect of not believing in God is to believe in anything.”

This quotation actually comes from page 211 of Émile Cammaerts’ book The Laughing Prophet : The Seven Virtues and G. K. Chesterton (1937) in which he quotes Chesterton as having Father Brown say, in “The Oracle of the Dog” (1923): “It’s the first effect of not believing in God that you lose your common sense.” Cammaerts then interposes his own analysis between further quotes from Father Brown: “‘It’s drowning all your old rationalism and scepticism, it’s coming in like a sea; and the name of it is superstition.’ The first effect of not believing in God is to believe in anything: ‘And a dog is an omen and a cat is a mystery.’” Note that the remark about believing in anything is outside the quotation marks — it is Cammaerts.

this is quite simple psychology.

people NEED to believe in something. They need a cause or a purpose. When God is removed out of their minds, they quickly affix themselves to subjects such as 'the environment', 'mother earth', politics, social justice, hedonistic pleasure, etc etc.

the double negative serves a purpose to show the dual side of he premise.

your responding with expletives only demonstrates your fixation with 'attack' in order to have purpose.

Re: Those that refuse to believe in God don't believe in nothing
to believe in a blanket statement such as the topic of this thread, reveald how narrow minded some people are

you can believe there is an entity who identifies as god, without worshiping him ... it really un-limits your life when you aren't obligated to server a god, that has nothing to offer but a promise of "heaven" ... that motivates people to be his slaves, with fear of Hell - even though the only place these "after-lifes" exist, is in the Human Mind System

What IS ... what actually exists, is Earth/Nature, providing for our every true need, unconditionally ... because Our Creator (not to be confused with god) designed it to do that, so we wouldn't have to be dependent on some "god"

Our Creator doesn't demand worship, It doesn't limit our use of Free Will, it only asks that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us ... because that is the fastest way to progress in this evolutionary self-development plan

perhaps I missed it, but I didn't note any reference in the posts about a God that demanded or even expected worship.

relying on the origin of creation differs greatly from relying on the creation. It's the difference between being motivated for survival of the body or growth of something much more authentic and real which is what is Inside the body.

It's a matter of trust on the source of your life, not serving the product of life which fades, decays and is in constant need of worship through serving the senses and the survival in-stink.

Just because I don't believe I get shoved in the ditch time after time! I do not understand why it bothers so many folks that I don't believe, leave me alone I don't bother you!

I cannot explain why we are here, can you? I cannot explain day to day only witness it and I'll deal what whatever comes in the end when it comes!

I personally think we are some kind of cosmic accident and nothing more the rest is made up to keep people in line and keep them sane trying to figure it out!

Which god?

Are you saying that anyone who does not shun their
own ancestral heritage and embrace the Sumero-Hebrew
one is a nihilist?

putin

Unmanly, embarrassing bullshit, I'd say.
Biggest mindf**k in the history of Man.

Europeans robbed of their rightful roots.
Kudos to my Finnish people for holding out until
the 12th C.

Lalli the Bishop Slayer has my unending respect.

Miehen teko!

But by all means, bow down before the one(s) you serve.

I do believe in a God (s). Just not one that intervenes or cares. We're probably in a petri dish or some shit.
