Liberals will have to be careful when presenting any bill for vote. If a government loses a vote on legislation they proposed, it's considered a vote of confidence, and if they lose the vote one of two things happen. If the official opposition can form a majority coalition, the Governor General can appoint them to govern, which is not likely because the Conservatives would have to get the Bloq to support them and some NDP and independents. That is very unlikely.
The other outcome is that parliament is dissolved and we go back to the polls.
So expect the Liberals to be very careful before putting anything to vote to make sure they have the support of the NDP, which means sucking up to the NDP. But the NDP also will be careful to not be perceived as liberal lap dogs, because that would be political suicide. Even though Jagmeet said he would form a coalition, it would be the stupidest move he could make. I see the NDP biding their time, taking it on a issue by issue basis, waiting for more scandals to come out against the Liberals, and the moment they feel they have momentum to increase their share of seats, they will force an election.
I give it 2 years before we have another election, less if SHTF and the media is forced to report on the real scandals within the Liberal party.
