I think along with the stupid headlines, the irony of this story is that he ordered a fake " ham " pizza.

If you are a vegan, why do you need to " replicate " ham then?

Having worked pizza delivery in my teens I can honesty say that he may have gotten real ham because he was anal about being vegan. I have saw it 1st hand. The more someone complains or is a trouble customer the worse their food is to the point I get sick thinking of what I have heard servers and cooks talk about doing to peoples food.

Someone calls in and demands that no meat touch his pizza, oops we accidentally put in the real meat,

NO PORK because of your religion. Guess what gets sprinkled into your cheese?

I heard one complaint in all the time I worked at a pizza place that everyone felt bad about and did not consider being upset with the customer. It was a regular customer that ordered every week. He called and ordered and ask that we please make sure it was sliced. Seems last pizza he got someone had forgotten to slice it. This guy was blind and said he had a hard time eating it, when ask why he did not call and have us fix it then, he said everyone makes mistakes and he did not want to bother us.

How does one fake ham?

Anybody that is vegan and is traumatised by accidental meat has a great big SCREW LOOSE. Shit happens in life.

The problem customers got the center undercooked and burnt edges. They keep calling for more.

To a great extent imitation meat is made more and more to look, smell and taste like the real thing- or so my mom who has had both says. I've never eaten meat except for a little seafood.

When was the last time you saw what a pig eats? I've seen it eat its own manure. Do you suppose this is what makes the pig meat taste good? The pig is a scavenger, a "clean up" animal. Probably best to stay away from it and eat beef, chicken or fish to stay healthier.

Gluten allergies are real. Celiac disease and other auto immune disease from foods is not mental complexes.

Some babies who are given formula can't take cow milk based ones- they throw it up constantly.

I am arguing that for a good number of people with food allergies it is a mental state of mind, or mind over matter. Especially those that tell you up front: I have this and this food allergy. I often find they are full of shit. For example they get sick after being told what they have eaten..

It is possible for someone to have a legit food allergy eg. they eat something and have a reaction but it was unknown. But those ones are much less in number.

You want vegan meals, make them yourselves or go to vegan restaurants.

2. In our culture, dogs and cats are not a food choice. They are family members substituting as children.
