Mayor David Navarro of Clarin, Misamis Occidental, was killed and five others injured in the attack, including a police officer who was shot in the foot. Duterte was also molested by a RCC priest as a child. That is why he despises the RCC and current false-prophet Pope Francis. Don't let his hatred towards the RCC apply to all Christians. It is also well known Duterte hated Obamanation. He called him a "son of a whore" and expecting Hitlary to win POTUS in 2016, he hedged his allegiance with the Chicom's. Something he now regrets since POTUS Trump took office. Someone who he respects for being a straight forward, no BS person and not deceiving like so many corrupted politicians. I'd rather have a politician who is brutally honest (like Duterte and Trump) than one who tells you what you want to hear.
