Almost identical to the APC version, and both garbage. Cyberpower's small tower UPS (you know, a REAL UPS) are just fine. FOr about half the cost of the APC analogue, they're almost twice the unit. I've used both extensively, and APC's sub-$600 units are crap now. I've moved all of my mission-critical stuff to Cyberpower and the old APC, with new batteries, is now out in my woodshop. ![]() ad ignorantiam - The assumption of a conclusion or fact based primarily on lack of evidence to the contrary. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77938226 There WAS working power and the NAS that was plugged into the battery side just powered off! If there is working power, the thing should not have just powered off! Tesla's should not spontaneously combust on their own as well. Battery tech sucks. |

You... you DID remove the plug caps and actually attach the battery before starting to use the unit, right? Like you didn't just get it home, plug it in and hope there was nothing else for you to do? :| Also, stop going on about it, you sound like a moran. ![]() ad ignorantiam - The assumption of a conclusion or fact based primarily on lack of evidence to the contrary. Louis in Richmond I have heard the deafening silence. Or for free, if you know know a business that is replacing theirs when the only thing wrong are bad [worn out] batteries. You do get what you pay for; a decent one or two outlet surge suppressor costs over $200 so figure that a UPS with the same capacity will cost three to four times that.
