HOW WE CAN SOLVE GLOBAL PROBLEMS BY CHOOSING A NUMBER BETWEEN 1 and 100

Even though these questions are tailored towards obtaining and growing specific qualities I feel that they are very valuable in themselves as tools of self reflection. I've questioned many of my own thought processes and automatic biases as I've worked though this thread and I'm beginning to see 'clearer' and more objectively. I also feel propelled to share these questions with other people as the value they contain will benefit anyone who reads them.

Great idea for a new thread OP. I understand that raising your awareness is a process and cannot be done instantly so to speak. You guidance along this path is much appreciated!

This is interesting. Never heard of this before.

I am having issues with my jaw. 63 comes to mind. Also 57. Very difficult to get because when I close my eyes, I see all the numbers kind of swirling around. Lol.

WELCOME to the thread, FLUFFY PANCAKES! The qualities you are invited to increase are INTUITION and DECISIVENESS. These qualities may sound at odds, yet they are not if seen in the right order. The first step is "going within"/briefly go into a meditative state and ask your question and see what answer comes to you INTUITIVELY, without "over-thinking" anything. The second step is to BE DECISIVE according to the intuitive information you have received.

Regarding your jaw: tension in this area results from biting one's teeth, or holding it (for too long) in one position. This can be a grimace or a smile which continues although the situation may not be one you are really smiling about. i.e., it may be putting on a sort of mask to keep things unter control or make others happy, but such sustained effort might not be right for you.

Here are some further questions which might help you on your way. Thank you again for participating.

In what sense are you a workaholic?
What if you lost control? What if you made no plans? What if you released all expectations?
To what extent are you able to listen to the suggestions of others?
Supposing you released fixed ideas and compromised more?
Supposing that instead of getting hung up on your goal, you concentrate on the process?

How resistant are you to change?
Supposing you can find all the answers by going within?
What unpleasant circumstance are you ignoring and what is your part in it?
Are you in a vicious circle?
What if you focussed on long-term fulfilment instead of short-term fixes?
What would change if you were more decisive?
How much do you respect yourself?
If you fully understood that you are capable of great things, what would you do next?

Thank you also for this description of what you are actually seeing in your "mind's eye", as it may help others to understand the process a bit more. Of course there are many different ways of "choosing a number". e.g.. counting sheep until there are none left, or traveling down a long street until a certain building (and a certain house number) attracts one's attention ....

Hello AC72121759 and thank you for participating. You have made an interesting intuitive choice: the quality you have chosen is AWARENESS OF CYCLES. In connection with public speaking, I can imagine that you are extremely focussed on the moment, on saying "exactly the right thing" in the right way to this particular group of people in a particular place. This may give rise to worry.

If you step back, however, and know in your heart that this is a necessary but small step on an eternal journey, and that any "mistakes" can also be ways of opening up new and exciting perspectives, then this worry might turn into confidence that everything happens for a reason, and at the right time. This, the feeling of doing something "wrong" will not arise.

You have already proved the power of your intuition by choosing AWARENESS OF CYCLES. I used to be like yourself - I used to be shy and worried about speaking public. Now it is not a problem at all, because there is a small intuitive voice within which is actually guiding my worlds, just as it is now guiding what to type here.

Here are some questions you might consider as further exploration. Some of them centre on personal relationships. If personal relationships are not in order, this will also affect public performance in front of others. The last two refer to "eternal cycles", meaning that this is not our only life, and that we are on a continuous learning journey

How does your preoccupation with one person block your relationship to others and to yourself?
How often is your mind or head so full that you ignore your body?
Do you respond automatically to or against offers of help?
How would your behaviour change if everyone was your family?
Are you aware of the multitude of dimensions through which you eternally travel?
What if everyone could view their lives and the lives of others within the context of eternal cycles?

Hello AC 77468085: the quality you have chosen is TAKING ON RESPONSBILITY, and here are some questions which may help to open up some new perspectives for you.

What are you turning a ‘blind eye’ to and how could this endanger others?
How does your consideration for others prevent you from looking after yourself?
How are you inwardly shaken and how long will you wait before you speak openly?
In what way are you consciously ‘selling’ or disempowering yourself?
What choice has always been there, but which you have failed to see?
Are the two sides of yourself – the fluid, intuitive ‘female’ side and the active, energetic ‘lion’ or ‘male’ side – in harmony with each other or out of balance?
Does ‘security’ exist? Could ‘insecurity’ simply be a lack of understanding that life is a series of ever changing-cycles which we ourselves instigate to fulfil our potential?
What if everyone showed their feelings all the time with the purpose of building a network of honesty, trust and intimacy around the world?

Hello TREE OF LIFE (a very interesting name, seeing as what you are doing). The quality you have chosen is INTERCONNECTEDNESS. Creating a space of love is wonderful, yet I am inspired to say that this cannot remain an oasis, and that the real mission of a space of love IS TO INCREASE ITSELF. The following questions point in that direction, and may help. And after the questions I will post a story I wrote - or rather it is a vision which was given to me - I think it is relevant. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE
A very fast train with bullet-proof windows was travelling to a part of the world where the countryside was still beautiful and unblemished. In this place, it was still possible to make a new start, build healthy communities and live off the land. The people on the train had packed all their valuables, and everything necessary for building and maintaining new houses. A great amount of rice and other dried food was also being transported by the train for their use. There were no planned stops on the way to their destination.

The passengers sat silently, full of apprehension. They were happy to be leaving chaos behind, but they could still see it through the window panes. One passenger was in a great state of agitation and INNER CONFLICT. Her compassion for those she was leaving behind grew with every starving child which stretched its arms towards the passing train. It grew with every hovel and every sign of destruction visible from her seat in the clean, comfortable compartment.

In the end, she could bear it no longer. She stood up and gave a speech to all the occupants of the train saying “FELLOW TRAVELLERS: OUR JOURNEY AND OUR INTENT IS NOT MORALLY CORRECT. LOOK UPON THE MISERY AND BONDAGE OF OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS ON THESE DESOLATE PLAINS, AND OPEN YOUR HEARTS. WE WILL NOT FLOURISH IN OUR SMALL, NEW, PERFECT ENCLAVE, SURROUNDED BY BARBED WIRE, IF WE CANNOT FEEL COMPASSION. WE WILL ATTACK EACH OTHER AND WE WILL BE ATTACKED AND DESPISED BY THE ENVIOUS AND DESPERATE. WE MUST CHANGE, OR PERISH. I AM GOING TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND WE WILL SETTLE RIGHT HERE, AND SHARE ALL.”

The other passengers were aghast, but they realised the truth of her words, and so they filed out of the train awkwardly, attempting to speak in friendly tones to the hostile faces which greeted them. When they opened the food carriages and began to distribute the rice, the starved people broke down crying, saying that gods had come to save them. The passengers were truly shocked to see their emaciated bodies and dreadful conditions at such close quarters, and they were humbled to be seen as generous donors. They were also overwhelmed by the gratitude and love shown to them – something which they had never before encountered. They threw all their old ideas and fears away, and started to repair and build houses. In fact, they used up everything the train was transporting and which had been intended only for themselves. Thus, they created the community of which they had dreamed, without completing their long journey to the other side of the world.

I have worked with plants all my life, and prefer them to most people. I prefer animals to people for the most part as well... regarding companionship through this journey of life. But, I love my fellow Humans very much, and would like to feed them my precious fruits and heal them of their ills.
You see, I no longer live in a 'place'... it is now a 'path'... a process... and permeates everything I do.

I recently received a Godly message regarding my concerns...
I have always known I would live to be very old... over 100 years old. I was told, however, in my message, that this would not happen unless I cut loose my emotions over the suffering of mankind. My sorrow for them would break my heart to my demise, and I would miss the century mark by many decades. And the truth rang true, here.

I cannot take this burden from them... they must own their own worlds as I own mine.

My farm is akin to a laymen's Monastery, and I had it pointed out to me that the monasteries of old had large iron gates to keep other Humans out, no doubt to maintain the Space Of Love they had created.
Oh what a point you have made here, about expanding the Space Of Love I have created to encompass more and more of Humanity.

Although your message flies in the face of sequestration behind iron gates... I will deeply consider what you have offered me here in the way of wisdom.

Perhaps I can somehow reconcile the two into one! <3

I am most honored by your answer, TREE OF LIFE, and glad if I provided any insights.

I would think that it is important to create that love space, and to fiercely defend it, and nurture it so that it is so strong that it can withstand any storm. The storm is what we are in at the moment. It is imperative that we centre ourselves and concentrate on what we regard as priorities, not only for ourselves but - in the long run - for everyone on earth.

Thus it is so wonderful that you are building this society. Perhaps, at the moment, the gates must remain closed, in order to protect and develop and clarify. And when that stage of complete conviction of purpose and wholehearted dedication of all members of the society is reached, and when the "dark elements" opposing all such love-based projects have been removed, the gates can open.

The time is coming when the dark elements will be removed. This will make your task much easier. Regarding long life, new technology will be able to ensure that, so perhaps this is what is meant by your divine message.

You will be a role model who will inspire. Thank you so much for telling us about your intuition and for sharing your thoughts here. Your farm already sounds like a place I would like to visit.

I have found a haven in people who understand about the Godliness of food.
Some are even beginning to realize that a food plant raised with love, and the purpose of directly nourishing the recipient of It's very own flesh, is something indeed different from a standard-method raised food plant.

A fresh carrot from my pure and tenderly cared for soil, is raised to offer it's body to you Humans, and lives for that alone!

There is no death for that plant, then, when eaten fresh on the spot without killing or cooking!

This will be a safe way to expand my circle of love, when I can find those worthy and honored recipients.

And therein lies the answer to my farm's longevity concerns, as they will BE the support community (even if outside the iron gate) that will sustain us here on the farm... the community will come!

And... 360* we have come with an answer!

Here! Look, at our work OP! We have made an example of LOVE in motion with our exchange!

OP I have friend who has a problem with anti depressants. She has been taking them for 10 years now but feels that they are not really 'working' but she finds it very difficult to cease using them and has tried many times but to no avail. She tells me that when she cuts down her dose she gets very angry and she also feels that she can't 'cope'. She also told me that she hates a lot of things, so yeah the pills are not working. On the surface she seems fine and happy but I suspect there's been some deep trauma in her life that she's not addressing but that's just my hunch. I told her about this thread and the number she chose is 42. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

THANK YOU dear AC for your lovely response and for caring about your friend. What I am inspired to say is that antidepressants may suppress symptoms, but will not suppress the cause of the symptoms. There will be some past experiences, and the way she chose to deal with them (or not deal with them) can result in this strong anger. Feelings were not expressed at the time of their origin. The lid is now blowing off, so to speak, due to long suppression.

Depression can be equated with sadness, perhaps, and the fact that she is angry is a sign that she is actually letting her emotions come to the surface, which is good if done in a "safe" or therapeutic environment. Many scenes from self-awareness seminars come to mind where "angry" participants were asked to vent their anger by hitting mattresses - a good way to release it. The "sad" stage precedes the "angry" stage, so actually, she is progressing, I would say.

She has chosen 42, which is the quality of RECOGNISING BOUNDLESSNESS. And the question which pops out most for me is DO YOU REINVENT YOURSELF ON A DAILY BASIS? I feel this might be significant for her. She might like to write it on the mirror so that she sees it every morning - the words I AM REINVENTING MYSELF EVERY DAY. Please convey my best wishes to her.

How often do you reflect upon your own behaviour? Is it possible to change it?
Is your ‘character’ a fixed entity or simply a collection of strategies developed to fill a certain need or to reach a certain goal?
Do you reinvent yourself on a daily basis?
Suppose you said the following affirmation daily: “I have no limitations, only ever-increasing potential”?
What if ‘tiredness’ is something which dominates the lives of people without dreams?
How are you creating your own problems by acting on the need to impress or gain attention?
How does the memory of negative experiences affect your behaviour today?
What if everyone re-examined their behaviour regularly in view of their own needs and also in view of spreading peace and unity worldwide and protecting the resources of our planet?

All my life, I have always felt as a victim. This comes from my experience of people takung advantage of me at work and private. I have been cheated several times by trusted associates and I keep falling prey to the same mistakes. Like if someone says they are in financial difficulty, I do always help out even though they never pay back. I am an example of being nice to a fault. I see 69 on the mountain top.

This can only be achieved by self-reflection, and observing oneself "from afar", and this is a highly valued trait. The quality you have chosen is FLEXIBILITY, as in not necessarily lowing standards but in holding back a bit and waiting to see what happens next. If you give someone your full unquestioning trust, you are not giving them a chance to prove themselves in your eyes. You are not letting them return the favor if you are always on the "giving" end. Sometimes also it is necessary to hold back in order for other to have a necessary "learning experience". Perhaps the following questions will help you further:

Could it be that saying nothing is a sign that you do not believe in yourself?
Is it time to reassess your priorities and clarify your purpose?
How do you make life complicated for yourself?
In what areas could you become more flexible or communicative?
Could you be missing your opportunities because youunderestimate your own self worth?
How much importance do you attach to honesty in your relationships with others?
Which of your beliefs or customs are preventing your growth?
Supposing that your beliefs are purely a construction of your own mind, and that experiences and can be changed at a moment's notice?
What if there were no rules, only ebb and flow?
What will change when you are convinced of your own worth?
How will the world change if everyone regularly reassesses the “rules” they live by?
