I don’t think is was a case of mistaken identity. I feel like one or some of the men related to the women were involved with the cartel in some manner. They clearly had plenty of money looking at the photos, had a previous run in with the cartels, some had dual citizenship, and killing the women and children would have been the ultimate punishment in the cartel’s mind, also these were close up murders and killing in road ditches , not mistakes.

The cartels obviously have people on this forum trying to minimize what happened. 85% of the responses to what happened make absolutely no sense at all. Why would you attempt to minimize toddlers, young kids, and women being brutally murdered? doesn't add up.
