You have American women and children killed by drug cartels that are not only out of control, but are apparently armed to the hilt and have become as formidable a para military force as the actual real Mexican Military.

Then you have some bizzarro mormans living in an out of control mexican state that is pretty much run by the cartels pumping out litters of kids and living like the stepford wives.

At least nine people—including six children—who lived in a religious community of U.S. citizens in northern Mexico were killed Monday in what could be a case of mistaken identity after drug trafficking rivals got into a shootout with cartel gunmen, according to family.


The victims were said to be members of the LeBaron family, linked to a breakaway Mormon community which settled in Mexico several decades ago.


Rhonita Maria LeBaron—and her four children-- twin 6-month-olds and two others aged 8 and 10—were reportedly found outside the town of Bavispe

43-year-old Dawna Ray Langford and 31-year-old Christina Marie Langford—were found in a separate location later Monday. A third relative said a 4-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy were also killed, bringing the death toll to at least 9.


According to Langford Jr.’s Facebook post, one of the older boys in the group managed to escape with six of his siblings from the ongoing shootout and run back to his home at La Mora settlement, which is located about 70 miles south of Douglas, Ariz.

He said he left other children who were injured hidden on the side of the road.

It was unclear how many children were ultimately rescued as of Monday evening.


The man said a convoy of three vehicles had set out Monday from La Mora — a decades-old settlement founded as part of an offshoot of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — but were attacked by cartel gunmen in what he said may have been a case of mistaken identity.

Two of the three vehicles believed to be carrying two women and 13 children were still missing.



The families lived in La Mora, about 70 miles (110 kilometers) south of Douglas, Arizona.

Many of the church’s members were born in Mexico and thus have dual citizenship.

9 US citizens slaughtered in Mexico ambush, family says


Three women and six of their children, all with ties to Utah, were slaughtered Monday in Mexico.


The women and their kids are all dual Mexican and U.S. citizens and were traveling back to the U.S, when family members say they were ambushed by cartels.


It happened near Bavispe, in Sonora, about 100 miles south of Mexico’s border with Arizona.
