Mormon religion is fascinating.

Starting with Joseph Smith who tried to make Revelation a thing for his time..when it never came things got stranger.

Out west there was serious tensions between the US govt, Native Americans, Mormons and Pioneers making their way to California.

In the Mountain Meadows Massacre which culminated on 9/11/1857 Mormons viciously attacked a caravan wagon train and blamed it on the natives.

This event was never truly sorted out 'officially', but the cover-up went all the way up to Bringham Young, who banished John D Lee to an outpost on the Colorado River in Arizona (Lee's Ferry).

Yeah, but the descendants of the original settlers didn't hang on to the beliefs, they aren't polygamists or anything like that.

My dad came from Chihuahua too, everyone is like a third cousin to Romney, but not connected at all.

These people down there are just normal people, the kind that would be great to go have a beer with, they aren't fanatical cult types at all.

13 yr old gathered them and hid them under brush while he walked 14 miles for help.

The Mexican President can literally pick up a phone and have Tier One operators like Seal Team Six/Delta/Raiders take care of the problem and get this kid home.

That is a powerful phone call.

Well, traditional marriage in the west was, for "eons", one man and one woman. Now that "gender" doesn't matter- why would "number" matter? It's just a matter of time until marriages of multiple husbands and wives becomes a "norm".
