The Vatican's obsession with the worship of the dead is fascinating on several levels.

On one level it kind of makes sense. The Catholic church is well over 1 Billion strong and at least one-seventh of the planets population many of whom are in poor countries as we all know. These indigenous peoples, some of whom were conquered by Spain do also venerate their dead in various ways that might seem odd at first. A way perhaps for the Vatican to grow their flock and wealth.
