LLaughin shows no remorse whatsoever, neither do her kids, that's the problem. The truth is these prosecutors build careers via moral judgements. If she had pleaded guilty to the older charge, this would have been over for them by now.

She doesn't see herself as having done anything wrong because this is how the system has worked for the wealthy forever. You can buy your way in and out of college and this case will not change that. They could probably find something fishy about thousands of student admissions from the same pool of applicants she was in. It's just the way it's done, and not every rich kid gets a parent who will do this even if they can; I hope that's obvious.
