I remember in the 60s 70s wearing shorts and going barefoot year round some years. Global warming climate change etc etc has changed all that now and it gets too cold to dress like that .

Joe Bastardi on Twitter for much of the East Coast!

We suggest heading to South Florida over the next two weeks if you're a fan of above-freezing temperatures. Check out how many record-high minimum temperatures are likely going to be set over the coming week as the Eastern U.S. gets its first shot of arctic air.

posted about 17 hours ago. I can confirm winter is here. Am outdoors in the morning daily and it was the coldest morning of the year by far, judging by frozen fingers!
 Quoting: beeches

It's cold, and I see we will be getting a morning in the teens next week!

But, don't panic people! I remember taking my little ones trick or treating one Halloween and the temp was in the teens and wind chills at 0. Needless to say, we didn't stay out long. This was over 20 years ago. So, early freezing temps have happened before and have happened much earlier also!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78133261

had snow for Halloween a couple years ago. Psst, the climate Nazis don't want us to know it is not getting warmer!

they are going to make ridiculous climate claims because it makes them money

and assures them the populace will accept nonsense like carbon taxes.

yep!

Let's talk about data manipulation, much like Democrap-style vote count manipulation.

Weather temperature data can be manipulated so many ways it makes you sick.

one is moving weather recording stations to areas now surrounded by parking lots - they will read warmer.

Another is NOT moving a station that is now near a solar array or other heat source.

THEN, my favorite, you take an area and report from the furthest SOUTH of its reaches. Heaven forbid you would report from a northerly point or a higher elevation!

They are going for the warmest possible reading - example, the National Weather Service gives my temperatures from the Wilmington Airport.

I cannot tell you how little that has to do with the real temperature here. Much higher elevation and far to the north.

So it is ALWAYS HOTTER here if you believe the NWS.

The climate is getting warmer, the data doesn't lie and fortunately there are tens of thousands of scientists from across the entire world that understand what's going on.

The last few years have been the warmest on record, the correlation with Co2 is well established across multiple - literally hundreds of peer reviewed papers. it's a shame that so many people don't understand what a peer reviewed paper actually is.

The data isn't perfect but the trend is clear.

Lol you people talking bout the South being cold. Try living in the upper Midwest. Its already colder than it will be all winter in Georgia.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76977012

Yeah but it's a dry cold!! hahaha
 Quoting: Coastie Patriot

Dry cold is no joke, you can sustain for days in Colorado outdoors in the cold because you stay dry. If the sun comes out you literally get hot and have to strip layers off. I spend quite a bit of time in Denver and there is no comparison to the damp cold of places where humidity is higher. The downside is your lips are always chapped and your throat is always dry.
A dry cold is safe to sleep in if you're sheltered. You'd freeze in a couple of hours in damp cold. I say yay for Dry cold!

You're greedy too. Aren't you using energy from Big Oil or Big Utilities to run the electricity in your home, or whatever is fueling your connection to the internet? I'll at least assume you don't own a car or ever fly in jet planes.

Next you're going to tell me your leftist biases don't have an affect on you, including how you interpret and gather information.

Your left-leaning feelings are somehow not influencing other leftwing people in, for example, the sciences?

I'll admit my right-leaning biases affect the way I gather and interpret information. But I've not seen conservatives/rightists do nearly as many cunning, dishonest, unethical things as people closer to your side of the political spectrum are always guilty of.
