Instead of saying 'new cold records will be made'
they said, 'Check out how many record-high minimum temperatures are likely going to be set'
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75758325 It was simply a poor choice of words by Joe Bastardi. What he meant was record LOW high temperatures will be set. In other words, if the high temperature for some city in Illinois is 30F on November 12, 2019, that would be the lowest recorded high temperature for that date.
