Also you have a toddler... you will get sick for several years if your toddler is a normal child and plays with other kids. The crowd starts getting flu shots in August and it continues till springs, shedding viruses. |

I used to get sick all the time and then I tried bunches of supplements, some of them have seem to help other ones didn’t. Multivitamins are almost worthless. They only help if you don’t have any of them in your body at all which is rare in this country. what I’ve been taking that seems to work is NAC (N-Acetylcysteine), CoQ10, D3, B12, L-lysine. Probiotics are overrated, occasional use is fine, don’t need daily. Vitamin C never seemed to help. |

Thus, if your diet is rich enough, you technically shouldn't need supplements. I eat canned food. And genetically I have bad nerves. If I don't take at least magnesium, within 48 hrs like clockwork I get textbook symptoms of Mg deficiency. mainly gigantic muscle spasms. I started keeping an epsom salt carton in my room for 'emergencies' / days that I forget to take my vits. |

All those airborne nasty things jumping from human to human, mostly hate it. If in doubt consult your local bacon producer why it lasts so long. Also: Wash hands often, use sanitiser after touching surfaces touched by a lot of people (door handles, McD touch screens..) Do not touch your face with your hands. Never unless your hands are clean after having contact with said surfaces or any contact with people. That is an advice I got from a doctor ... and it works. Contrary to "be a clean person" I also advice getting your hands dirty with garden work, earth, soil ... under every acre of good soil there is the weight of 2 cows worth of microorganisms .. so your immune system gets shit to do all the time and does not get lazy. Keep home and car cool in winter, feeling a bit cold all the time turns on the bodies engine to keep the body and extremities warm, the higher the revs the more shit gets done. Also saves heating costs. Yes you will feel a little bit shitty trough the day that is why: The only place you want warm is your bed, an electrical blanket (or water bed) in my case in a cold room with fresh cold air ... best sleep you will ever get. Good sleep = good immune system. I also recommend getting a real daylight-lamp for those dark winter days and use it. Avoid people, crowds as far as possible. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78084014 I take ridiculous amounts of vitamins and supplements, have for many years. I eat healthy and don't drink. Recently a GLP'r was posting about miraculous liposomal vitamin C, so I added that to my daily vitamin cocktail. Started 2 months ago so it could build up in my system. As it turns out, it's just extra expensive vitamin C. Useless! I have tried so many things to stay healthy and I still get sick every November. I am ready to throw away all my vitamins! I spend big $ on these things and after many years I'm starting to think it's a waste. Could it be that health depends more on genetics and has little to do with lifestyle? How do I keep from getting sick every November? Our thoughts can be very powerful as we are all energy. How many times have you thought about November and being sick? It is working like clockwork because you believe that you will get sick in November. |

This way your hands are always washing away the germs. I wash my hands every time I come home from being out too. I don't clean my house before company comes over, I clean it after they leave.
