I worked with Aussie firefighters when we had a bad fire season here in BC in 2009. They were awesome,

Thoughts and prayers for them during this terrible fire season in Oz.

It isn't climate change
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78117250

Correct. Due to 2 things:
1. climate change is 2C max / century - long-term thing, if exists.
2. A Bushfire is a short-term event, not a trend.

and of course 3) in regions of Aust where temps. are normally 50C+ in summer, the bushfires are much rarer.
This is for National Security guys/girls to ponder, not the "climate aware youth". Different animal/differnt science. So obviously. '
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10494968

And, did anyone learn from school, what was the spontaneous combustion temperature of the paper/wood/uucalyptus oil ? 40C? Then why Exmouth bush doesnt burn at 50C+ happening almost normally in spring/summer?

Solution1:
1. Disregard the incompetent Greenies.
2. Plow a cut-trough with f-n bulldozers, around the entire circumference of major settlements (incl SYD), wide as 100-250 meters, by removing the fucking TREES. Greenies would have a heart attack but if they do they f-n deserve that.
3. If necessary to maintain easier f-n cement the surface across these large monumental cut-outs, where millions of trees will be killed for the sake of the safety of human beings. FUCK the GREENS and FUCK Labor@!!!
4. If still not enough to save children, build the fucking high-pressure circumference pipelines with water ready to be sprinkled, around the houses. Keep the distance from Bush, by chopping the f-n bush already. How many rocket scientists will that ever take>

No kidding. What would it take for common sense to prevail?

Are the Greens like the California stupid Democrats who regulate to not clear the brush? Most importantly, in California people have been building houses in known fire zones which you will never hear on the MSM except if you know someone who grew up there. I wonder if it's the same type of situation.

So sad to see this happening to our Australia friends.

i've just read an article? where the firies left their hoses out to dry and all got cut at both ends :(

"Grose Vale Rural Fire Brigade
August 11 ·
While members were arriving at Cabbage tree Road Station this morning they were very disappointed to find multiple of our hoses had been cut at both ends while they had been left out to dry.

There was also vandalism in Avoca Road, Grose Wold last night.

If you know anything about this please contact Crime Stoppers NSW on 1800 333 000"

Yes the greens could rightfuly say they never been on top in Canberra. Yet still, the local Council policies are somehow governed by their ideologies:- try cut a tree aoutside your fence, see what happens. The non-cutting of some trees that grew up the wrong spots up to date is the core of the problem we see now. The issue of allowing these trees to be removed shouldnt have ever become a political one. Because planting billions of trees where these actually do belong naturally cannot be wrong for this Earth. But the communities would have been better off circled by the "tree free" rings which the Australian Research Council would have been able to design better than most of us.

And the costs to enable these fire proof zones around towns shouldnt have been any more heavy than the costs of rebuilding. This is 21st Century, and unfortunately, on this continent, the fire protection measures (town-scale) are somewhere in the 1500's still, it seems. But that can be fixed, with almost a minimum of care

PUBLISHED: 12:20 AEDT, 12 November 2019 | UPDATED: 15:34 AEDT, 12 November 2019

Fire danger will increase this afternoon as 37C heat, 90kmh winds and dry air create 'catastrophic' conditions around Sydney - as thousands on the mid-north coast are told it is too late to leave their homes.

There are more than 50 blazes in each of New South Wales and Queensland with up to 20,000 firefighters trying stop them spreading as the Army prepares to evacuate residents by helicopter if their lives are in danger.

Sydneysiders woke up to a smoky but calm morning with two infernos - one in the Hawkesbury and another in the Blue Mountains - under control.

But fire bosses warned against complacency and said the fires are likely to spread throughout the day, potentially threatening 100,000 homes around the Harbour City.

Between 1pm and 2.30pm today the number of fires under emergency status in mid-north NSW rapidly increased from five to ten as firefighters brace for 'really long night' when winds pick up after dark.

'The reality is conditions will simply continue to get worse and deteriorate over the coming hours,' said Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons.

Looks like the climate change pushers created these fires like they do in the US so they can blame climate change for the damage and scare the ignorant folks with propaganda about what started these fires and the threat of worse disasters destined to occur unless the GLOBAL elitists are able to put forth another way to tax the world's people.

piece of crap, these are government run fires to comply to agenda 2030.

They must squeeze 8 billion people into less than 800 megacities in the world by 2030.

The greens caused all this.

FUCK THE GREENS.

Never wasted a vote on the pedo kid fuckers and NEVER will.

2030 Vision Plan.

Australia is huge tourism, located next to the largest Muslim population in Indonesia. Burning out the non-Muslims.

In Australia, don't you guys and gals have bush people who live way out in the wild, and they hunt with boomerangs, and play their diggidydo thing; what about those people? I'm going to guess that they can take care of themselves.

And then you got kangaroos, which seem all cute to American children, but to me, they just seem like gigantic rodents. What happens to them?

And the famous Koala Bear, you Aussies better get off your asses and save the Koala Bears because if they die out, a lot of children and grown woman in the U.S. will cry. Not to mention, the stuffed toy companies will lose one of their biggest sellers. So, please...save your cute little bears.

And I think you should take extra special care to save your Kookaburra (whatever that is) becausse it sits in the old gum Tree...so you better save those gum trees too!

Only after you've saved your environment and wildlife can you start to defend your own lives and property. Don't you know how selfish you seem to environmentalists who are trying to save the world from a global catastrophy?

I'll be patiently waiting for your reply.
In the meantime, enjoy this song!
