The article makes it seem as though the book author has run down many rabbit holes over the years, but has not put the pieces together to make any solid conclusions. Looks like classic mis-direction.

Dave McGowan, in his book about the Laurel Canyon scene that birthed many huge rock stars, touches on Manson's proximity to Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys, Neil Young, and numerous other rock legends. McGowan never really pins anything down , either, leaving the reader to draw their own conclusions.

Miles Mathis, in his nearly 90 page paper on Manson and the murders, and the trial, etc.. covers this same material, but does not shy away from calling it as he sees it, as a massive organized psy-op against the american people to simultaneously de-legitimize the counter-culture and to frighten mainstream americans into giving up freedoms. In other words, the whole thing was scripted and fake, just like many of the "events" occurring in the present.

The whole backstory of how the Labiancas were murdered because they were on a street in the vicinity of somewhere they used to hang out is dumb and I don't buy it.

Who were they really and why were they killed? They were each stabbed like 40 times.
