United States 11/10/2019 09:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Houston Mattress Salesman lost a $13,000,000 bet on the Astros World Series loss. The number is MORE than $13 million... he is only willing to admit that much. Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale lost more than $13 million in wagers when the Astros lost to the Nationals in Game 7 and failed to win the World Series. A win would have netted him $25 million. He told Rovell that he would do it again without question. What was he thinking?“Mattress Mack” spent a lot of time & money flying around the country gambling to hedge his $20 million in liability from his “Astros win” promo. He wanted to give away the mattresses & furniture. With the Astros down 4 into their final at bats, the realization is setting in. AgileMind |

He offered free stuff to his clients if the Astros won the world series. When it looked like it might happen, he hedged by betting on Washington. I don't think he lost in total. I don't know how much he lost on the bets, but he didn't have to pay 20 mill. The more I know, the crazier I appear to be.
