Message Subject Metanoia: What does the word "repentance" really mean in the Bible?

It means to give your life more divine value than to become an absolute abomination

It means to not only change your actions, but your soul within

Say for example cheating on your wife but than stopping, seeing your mistress, and than quitting her, but doing nothing to change what you are inside leaves you still guilty of the sin

You're still gonna be thrown into purgatory for being garbage

You won't be granted the garden of life unless it's earned no matter who you are.

And this is the exact opposite of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

You cannot earn salvation. Scripture is quite clear.

Ephesians 2:6-9 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

If in your self deluded grandeur you think you are earning your way you will split hell wide open. Jesus is not sharing His glory with anyone, and especially not you who think His sacrifice just wasn't quite good enough that you have to put your own little putrid work on it.

This is the truth right here.

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Our FAITH is counted for righteousness, because all of our righteousnesses are as filthy rags before God.

It's weird seeing a saved person on here.
