I help the homeless by being intentionally rude to them to remind them of the poor choices they've made in life. That's just how I roll.

Once I had children, I stopped helping adults. I have to be there for them and they are priority over all others.

It is not humanly possible to care for and provide assistance to every indigent on the planet.

There's a homeless guy that hangs out in a parking lot near to where I live, he tweaks out, slaps and hits himself all over while growling and muttering to himself.

He's either on some nasty drugs or he's battling with some harsh memories.

If someone is capable, and they chose not to employ those capabilities, that is their choice, not mine.

Yes- medical and psych care should be free, for ALL.
Yes- college and extended education should be free for all.
Yes - jobs should be readily available.

I tried to help someone close to me in need once...

My "good friend" of 5 years was homeless... he lost his home because he couldn't keep up with the rent as he'd lost his job...

So, I took him in, as a "good friend" would, and set him up in a spare room in my apartment...

Only, after all I'd did for him, about a month and a half later, I came home from work to find my apartment practically empty...

The furniture in the kitchen and lounge/living room was all gone... even down to my large wall mirror in the lounge... everything, the tv, sofas etc...

All my jewellery gone... some savings...

A few things from my son's bedroom, his Xboxes etc...

We were truly gutted... I cried for a week after realising what my "good friend" of 5 years had done to me and my young son....

I don't think I could be that trusting again...

I've never had any more contact from "my friend" since...

He just went... with our belongings... off the face of the earth...

Just sharing my story...
