Anonymous Coward User ID: 5461667 United States 11/14/2019 03:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | He's a good pilot. Flew it like a boss. I suspect he's been flying gyros for a while. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5461667 At 80 years old you do what you want to do. Time is short, nothing to lose. He flew the "Little Nellie" gyrocopter in the James Bond movie "You Only Live Twice" (1967) Long time pro. That explains his flying style. The old fart knew what he was doing. A gyro could easily out maneuver a heli because the heli pilot has to deal with torque effects of the powered rotor all the time. The gyro captain only needs to avoid negative g or a slowed rotor. Other than that, he can swoop and turn at will. Negative g will cause the rotor to strike the vertical stab, and ruh roh.. |

Because this guy represents what's needed to turn this country around, and that type of energy won't come from anyone but white people. He built a gyrocopter and he's like "fuck you, it's time to fly". Quoting: Clapton's Doctrine Notice the confidence. The bravado. The I don't give a fuck, attitude. In fact, watch the video and try and deny that this mofo not only has balls, but seems to represent everything great about white culture. Anonymous Coward User ID: 78181178 United States 11/20/2019 01:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Gyrocopters and helicopters have always seemed too risky to me, but I would love to one day own and fly a microlight or ultralight trike. If the engine fails it becomes a heavy hang glider and you have some time to find and do an emergency landing. You can even put an emergency parachute on the back to deploy and allow the entire thing to drop safely to the ground in case of a catastrophic failure. That allows the flying to be fun in my mind instead of risky and scary. Something like this, but I would probably prefer a two seater. |
