STOP Showing A Receipt As You Leave A Store!

There is a certain demographic they are really checking. They occasionally check people they know are not stealing to make sure it looks fair and they are not just checking certain types. They barely even glance at my receipt and I go along. They non-verbally are telling you what is up.

My walmart has retarded people for the greeters...I think they are volunteers, but not sure..

The Walmart near me only checks white people. I watched two black women leave the store with a cart full of items that were too big to be bagged. They never went through the register or paid for the items and told the guy at the door that they already threw the receipt away. There was a car that had the motor running waiting at the curd for them in case they needed a fast get away, lol.

If you live in a sanctuary state or scity, they can't check you if you're mexican, it's considered a hate crime punishable by death. Dye your hair brown, get a tan, put on a sumbrero, then they can't check you no mo.

I never stop to let them check my receipt, ive been doing exactly what the guy in the video said for the past 12 years. Act they like are offering you a service you don't want and say no thank you and just keep going. I did have a black haitian receipt checker at a walmart in delraybeach FL freak out a little because of this and kinda expected to get harassed in the parking lot but nothing came of it. I just went home

They had these draw-bridge, little signs thru all the empty cashier lines and I could not get out..

I have brought my dog in there a .couple times...

They say "is it a Service Dog" and I say "Service Dog".

However he doesn't like the place.

Have you NEVER heard of implied contracts? The law will side with a store when a customer enters and refuses to pay for goods, when they ask to see ID or receipt. At the very least, you could get ejected and told not to come back.

They cannot legally hold you or prevent you from leaving the store, if they do they can be sued.

However, I suggest exercising patience and kindness and self control and wait and show them and go on. No need to be an ass and ruin someone's day just because your own life sucks.

You are confused. There is no such thing as an implied contract, contract law states that 2 parties must agree to terms, and that no one can enter another party into a contract without their permission.

An EXPRESS contract, which you are probably thinking of, is one that is made on the spot, such as a verbal agreement.

A private property owner could have terms of service that is agreed upon by entering the facility but they must have a notice easily viewable that by entering the facility the person agrees to their TOS, which Walmarts do not.

Yup. I was carrying out a big quilt with no bag. I showed my receipt without them asking because I’m not going let them think I’m stealing it. Too much theft is going on and I’m not putting them in the position of asking me for a receipt.

Once you have tendered payment every single item in your cart is yours and the receipt is too.

My new policy is to say "sure you can but I charge ten bucks for the privilege, got ten bucks?"

I almost* never give them one, when ask if I have one I say yep and walk away.

If I happen to have thought ahead I keep a blank one or one from the gas pump when I go gas and hand it to them and never slow down on my way out.

I won't comply because the poor retailer might lose money if we don't bend over for them. If you choose to be a retail store, you better be prepared to lose some items to theft. but don't shake me down because of it. I've never stolen anything and resent being shook down. Everyday, someone in gubment or private business pushes you a bit more, to see if you will comply with whatever their little hearts desire. I'm old enough I remember when customers were treated with respect, not like some shitbird. You all can lower your standards, I will not.

I don't mind showing my receipt half as much as I mind waiting for a slower than molasses employee to come unlock a cabinet so I can buy something. I swear, my local Walmart has about half the store locked up behind glass doors.

The receipt checkers are to facilitate displacement of cashiers. Obviously.

This is the dumbest shit ive ever read. there is no implied contract. you sell me things, those things become my things. i leave with my things. you are not the police. you have no right to my receipt when i have not signed any contract giving you the ability to search me nor does walmart even have this policy posted in an obvious place
