Why so much talk about this but nothing really happens?

Those students need to switch tactics.

I have respect for national pride, even our former enemies. The Japanese were a ruthless combatant, blessed with fanatical vigor the West and it's Allies would not soon forget. Their cruelty, and absolutism. Their ways are not our ways, but from the past we may garner some insight. I believe our medicinal system is cursed because of the experiments that were actively allowed to be integrated into the American system after the war. Many good men died at the hands of Japanese doctors, in ways not worth repeating. If anything, they only refined the ways of murder and torture in the medical profession. Many Japanese war criminals were "let off the hook" that was American prosecution during war crime tribunals. We made a deal with the devil, so to speak. We allowed their murderers, torturers, and scientists on par with the Angel of Death Josef Mengele himself, if only we could take the research that was procured at the expense of American lives. I guess nothing has changed really. Be it Honk Kong, or America. The Governments harvest their citizens like the livestock that we are. Who will pay the toll?

Maybe even caltrops, umbrella swords, and ninjas. Crossbows, improvised 3d printed zip guns, or even some of that famous Chinese gunpowder, oh blessed be her smoke, and smell. Ahh, gunpowder, the gift that China gave the world.

ps: some Whites have a little Mongoloid/East Asian admixture, such as Russians/Eastern Europeans, and Scandinavians.

Whatever happened to slings? I don't think I've seen a single violent protest use the age old, tried and true medieval sling! I don't trust people from Hong Kong.

They speak in a weird language, they look weird and they behave in an erratic way,

I prefer mainland Chinese, they are more predictable and more "normal", they seem more human to me.

That is very correct. In fact, many people don't think about the gravity of racial class impacts on this whole Hong Kong thing. China's government, the Communist Party, is Han people. However, Hong Kong has been Cantonese. They traditionally spoke Cantonese more than they did Mandarin. Chinese Han look down on Cantonese as a sort of second class citizen. It's just how it is.

That's what they've been doing to much of Hong Kong, not just the police, for months. Throwing Molotov cocktails, blocking roads, destroying property. Some saying they wanted to "Bring Hong Kong to a halt.". China has other ports. The world has other places to do business, and much has moved to Singapore because of these troubles, another good port with a good business climate.

So now HK is in an economic recession. The whole mindset of HK is business, and business is leaving. What was their plan? They have no army, no navy. They never had strong popular support in Hong Kong itself.

Hey let's make it about intersectionality! Sorry snowflake, that doesn't work. Guangzhou and that whole part of China speaks Cantonese. But they also speak Mandarin which is the official dialect of China.

There are different races in China, and people are aware of the differences. People from Beijing look different from the people in this part of the country and spoke a different language historically. That doesn't mean something needs to change. It's just the way it is.

Maybe China gov needs these protests to bring HK into line with rest of country, the protesters have been infected to behave this way and unkowing pawn zombies of a bigger chess game
