Feds to vote To End Federal Cannabis Prohibition - WEDNESDAY
Never thought I would see it in my lifetime, but it looks like the Federal .gov is getting ready for MORE ...

U.S. Lawmakers To Vote On MORE Act To End Federal Cannabis Prohibition

Washington, D.C. – The Executive Director of the National Organization to Reform Marijuana Laws (NORML) Erik Altieri, writes today that the United States will possibly experience Congress’ first vote to outright end federal marijuana prohibition. The House Judiciary Committee has posted a markup for bill HR 3884, the Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment, and Expungement (MORE) Act. The bill will potentially be subject to a vote occurring on Wednesday, November 20th, or shortly thereafter. ...

Moreover, it permits physicians who are affiliated with the Veterans Administration to recommend medical cannabis as a treatment for qualifying veterans who reside in legal states, as a treatment for PTSD, pain management and anxiety

Feds need to stop telling everyone what to do.

We can be arrested for over a 100,000 different violations. The new drug war might be against whites for being “racist” , or “entitled” or “climate change”

They will continue to build more prisons, no worries

No one really needs to work. Technology is being suppressed that would do away with the need for work. But, a certain tribe classifies you as their cattle so the technology never sees the light of day.

Re: Feds to vote To End Federal Cannabis Prohibition - WEDNESDAY
"The study examined how the changing legal status of marijuana has impacted mortality in the United States over the past two decades. Investigators found that legalization and access to recreational marijuana reduced annual opioid mortality in the range of 20% to 35%, with particularly pronounced effects for synthetic opioids.

The research extends prior findings that medical marijuana laws reduce opioid mortality rates. The findings are timely given the scale of the opioid epidemic in the United States and growing calls for marijuana legalization throughout North America.

"Recreational marijuana laws affect a much larger population than medical marijuana laws, yet we know relatively little about their effects." said co-author Nathan W. Chan, PhD, of University of Massachusetts Amherst. "Focusing on the recent wave of recreational marijuana laws in the U.S., we find that opioid mortality rates drop when recreational marijuana becomes widely available via dispensaries."

Government approved grass requires seed, water, fertilizer, gasoline, lawn mowers, weed spray, with no real benefit to the person investing all the money, we can’t eat it, and it harms the earth, costing billions of dollars

God approved grass gets you prison time for even picking it

It's good and all but from what I can see the states can still keep it illegal.

So many states are going to keep it illegal i'm sure, NC, florida, georgia for examples.

I am in Missouri and we just legalized. I cannot imagine states NOT legalizing; big profit.

Our law allows for 10%, off the top, to go to our state Veterans home.
Being a veteran, I don't see how the V.A. cannot compromise, they are already being 'privatized'... they have no choice to 'compete' with the public.
I think this is great, as I suffer from Agent Orange and in 2018 had an attacked that put me in a walker. A friend suggested CBD oil and now I am on a cane!
I told my V.A. docs about it. They agree with medicinal value in cannabis.

The only thing that concerns me is the people that are backing this legislation and the legalization. I believe they believe, this is a 'backdoor' to gun restriction.
Silly dimwits, they do not understand what Natural Law is.

It's probably more profitable the prison systems that are keeping people locked up and doing free hard labor.

Damn agent orange, that is crazy, so sorry to hear about that.

Glad that cannabis in some form can help you though! If you could have the real thing it would be even better. My father in law has a bad knee from the army and he works with the VA, they are relentless in their drug testing. But he tried edibles and they helped him alot but he's also super paranoid because of all the drug testing.

I don't like weed and am not an advocate. For those it helps (ptsd in vets, cancer patients etc..fine) That being said, the fact that it is illegal doesn't seem to deter many people from smoking/eating it. I think it should be decriminalized because it simply clogs up the courts and makes cartels rich.

House committee to vote on Marijuana Legalization Bill this week, sources say

...The bill is sponsored by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, a strong proponent of marijuana reform, who previously pledged “to deschedule marijuana federally and to provide critical assistance and relief to individuals and communities that have been disproportionately impacted by the racially biased war on drugs.”
