Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72530568 That's the same BS lie they told us here in Canuckistan. Only retards believe that BS. It's a fact. In countries like Portugal where drugs were decriminalized demand actually went down. Listen fa660t - I live in Canuckistan unfortunately and since they legalized weed it seems everyone and their mother is growing it in their back yard. Crime for pot has INCREASED because people are growing more than allowed by law, stealing their neighbors weed and selling it on the streets - which is still ILLEGAL - you can only legally buy it at licensed stores. Grandmothers are smoking and eating pot cookies now. It is the 'thing to do'. Drug use in Canuckistan has gone through the roof since it was legalized - so go peddle your bullshit elsewhere. Its your rotten people and ghey azz kids, not the pot. Drunks are way up too and i am quite sure you are one. You would have everybody miserable as hell instead of US finally, after over 5 decades and all the lives, having YOU miserable like you are Take that to your local bar and drink yourselves "fk off" with it You are so stoned you can't make a logical coherent sentence. Thanks for proving my point. |

A guy a county or two away was killed by cops serving a warrant for weed. No body cams, so don't really know what happened. Missouri voted in Amendment 2 which legalizes medical cannabis and all processes are very controlled. Also made less than an ounce a lower level crime with just a fine. Growing your own without getting licensed by the State will still land you in prison in Missouri. Free the dang plant! Trump could -and should- deschedule it with an EO no Dimms involved. Automatic revert to the individual States. Most states have it illegal attached to cooperative agreements on the fed level. Anonymous Coward User ID: 76799292 United States 11/20/2019 01:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What's funny to me is how so many people make false correlation is causation arguments. More rebellious people used cannabis in the past because cannabis was illegal. That's part of what it means to be a rebellious teenager. It wasn't the cannabis causing them to be dropouts and losers. The same reason it's not a "gateway drug." The only way it introduces people to other illegal substances is because you are forcing people to have to be able to find black market dealers for a basic plant many people need. Then they are introduced to other drugs by that drug dealer. Cannabis should be at the farmers market and grocery store. People aren't taught critical thinking in government high schools. No logic or reasoning, just random facts, a little math, some false history, and how to obey the government and never question them. |

Grow a plant or two in your home for yourself, no need to become pot rich with several thousand plants for everybody and their kin to try to steal from you. Legalization will create freedom for those who use pot. 2. Legalization will not increase the number of people who use pot. 3. Legalization will decrease crime rate related to pot. 4. Legalization will increase tax revenues of local governments. All false. Legalization is control. And kids who would otherwise never smoke pot will now smoke pot. Crime goes up because MORE laws will be introduced. Right now there is one law - it is illegal. Legalization will actually INCREASE the number of laws that govern pot, and with more laws more law breakers. Money spent organizing the licenses and sale points of pot, growing restrictions and their enforcement costs will exceed tax generated funds to the State or local governments. It will COST your government money to legalize pot. All of this is first hand knowledge of what is happening here in Canuckistan since legalization. |

Of course, just like alcohol, SALES and DISTRIBUTION will have redtape, as it should, same with selling fruit at a store. |

Investigators found that legalization and access to recreational marijuana reduced annual opioid mortality in the range of 20% to 35%, with particularly pronounced effects for synthetic opioids. Quoting: OzarkGranny The research extends prior findings that medical marijuana laws reduce opioid mortality rates. The findings are timely given the scale of the opioid epidemic in the United States and growing calls for marijuana legalization throughout North America. "Recreational marijuana laws affect a much larger population than medical marijuana laws, yet we know relatively little about their effects." said co-author Nathan W. Chan, PhD, of University of Massachusetts Amherst. "Focusing on the recent wave of recreational marijuana laws in the U.S., we find that opioid mortality rates drop when recreational marijuana becomes widely available via dispensaries." Thread: Marijuana legalization reduces opioid deaths False. Opioid deaths are at an all time high. Try again. That doesn't mean that the use doesn't reduce the deaths. It might be that the deaths are just outpacing those reduced by marijuana use. |

These judges, he states, will administer the 'rule of law' from our Constitution 'as written. This is a BIG step for returning to our Republic and our nation to its peoples. In a REPUBLIC there is no UCC law, no MARITIME kangaroo court system. The Rule of Law is Natural/Common which is in contrast to statutory. I don't believe the majority of Americans understand what this means ... Simply put ~ 'It's just a plant' Wow, talk about missing the forest for the trees! You can't actually be that's spaced out, right? The reality is that this PLANT will remain illegal for some time, so long as we have any Republican led majority in either the house or Senate.
