Megathrust Earthquake Warning - ETS Quakes Happening When They Shoulden't, Cascadia earthquake

The whole west coast really needs to be watched. Something big is going to happen. When, I don't know, but soon. From what I have been hearing Volcanic activity along with Earthquake activity is what they are watching for.

Average megaquake slip - 66 ft, that's roughly the height of a 6 story building! The ground springs that much you're gonna die or wish you did.

i would love to go camping but where is the better place to be in the bush or at home

i am pretty much in the zone where all the red is and have noticed some weird rumbling noises

last time i heard the same kinda rumbling noises there was a decent quake off the north west tip of the island

it is kinda funny because last night i heard them an was like dam that was just like when that quake happened but not as loud

then i see the vid you posted .....was like hmmm makes sense now

and i know of another one of these cracks that is huge with a few caves in it

I think its releasing pressure.

I know that they don't know jack about earthquakes, in spite of technological advancements, they never get it right with predictions.

No way to predict a quake, none, it's hit or miss so not worth worrying as they can happen anywhere at any time...

I remember when this happened before. A seismologist at U washington was concerned about areas of the fault that didn't shake, cause there would be the building pressure.

Otherwise get good with the possibility of an early death. As a flatlander I don't know if the ground will spring up 66 ft or down 66 ft but either way you'll be swatted like a fly, and then the tsunami comes.

I'm not trying to scare you. If it were me I'd be packing my car already. Not just words either, I lived in the pyroclastic flow zone of Yellowstone and came back across the mississippi when things got wonky and I saw the USBS was lying.

Geologist Goldfinger opines on the ETS Events

I have to say, while she's not exactly "wrong," what she's saying is a bit disingenuous.

There are SEVERAL slow slip events which take place around Cascadia. The event that she's pointing out doesn't necessarily have a 15 month period - it can be anywhere from AROUND seven to AROUND fifteen months. Furthermore, the regular Puget Sound event, which is another of the slow-slip regulars, has a reguar'ish 22 month period, or thereabout.

I'm not saying that this isn't noteworthy... in fact, it was interesting, over the last several days my sleep has been for crap and I've imagined I "felt" a low rumble numerous times, not knowing that this was happening. Interesting stuff, and fairly well explained, but I find the warning / doom lean on this is a bit heavy-handed.

It'll come when it comes... who knows, I may have to take a boat to Port Alberni rather than a car soon.

I heartily agree! Let me know when the housewarming party happens, I'll Ferry back over to Canada for it (That's what we all say here when we have to go to the Big Island.)

I would also like to know where she's getting her data, as I cannot find these hundreds of EQ's she's showing, not USGS, Canadian maps, PNSN, nowhere are we seeing the volume that she's showing for the last week or more.

This is why I question her vids... this is not the first time I've looked at her info, the time stamps, etc, and yet you can't duplicate her results, find what she's showing, etc.

Just a bit odd. The thing that I find funny is that I didn't initially doubt it, based on how we've felt here the last few days, however the only evidence of what she says is what she's showing, and I can't duplicate that info from ANY source. Strange.
