May 7th is also the day to Celebrate Tara.

She was once asked by monks to please continue her teachings in Male form as it was difficult for them to put such high respect into a female form.

She laughed and said she would accomplish everything she came to do, throughout each lifetimes as a Woman.

So this year, the May Moon celebrating the Buddha's Enlightenment was also on the Day to Celebrate Tara.
