Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77118985 This is 100% irrefutably impossible on a flat earth, bottom line, no ifs and or buts about it! Case is already closed When you are standing in a long hallway the lights on the ceiling will appear to get lower and lower the further away you look. This must be proof the hallway floor is curved to your dumb ass. |

The closer it gets, the more of the cloud you see touching the horizon. Eventually the whole system is off of the horizon completely and floating in the sky where you can see the whole thing. None of yall tried to touch it because it makes flat earth seem all too...i dunno...fake. It's easier to fool someone than to convince them they've been fooled, so i expect you guys have only experienced the ladder. I don't even understand what you are talking about. Why don't you post a video so we can look and discuss. Unless you are just describing perspective From our point on the ground the way our eyes work, bringing everything to a point, it may "appear" that the clouds are being blocked. but if you increase your altitude then you can see the entire cloud formation. It's not "curvature" it's simply perspective and how our human eyes work. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 42079668 United States 11/28/2019 10:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Earth is not flat you dumbfucks. If it was, there would be an edge to jump off from. Quoting: Goblin Slayer :owned: The edge is past antarctica, not exactly a friendly or easy place to access. Let us know when you personally have the money/time/resources to personally go to antarctica, not on a sanctioned trip, but on your own. Only then by using a compass can you travel directly south to get to the "edge" Or as admiral byrd described: a land beyond the south pole as big as America, completely unexplored. There may not be an edge, it may be that we are in a giant ice pond, and past the ice, is another pond, with another land. So let us know when you personally can travel down there yourself and see. Instead of just making assumptions. |

If it was that means every time hovered in a balloon or left the earth's surface, it would rotate under you. that isn't what happens though, and we are told we are in sync with the rotation of the earth, that's why we don't feel it move. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 42079668 United States 11/28/2019 10:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Flat earthers why not try and circumnavigate Antarctica.. Quoting: anonymous kiwi 73431310 The flat earth narrative is that Captain Cook attempted this but travelled for months and over 42000 miles and didnt come back to the starting point. Replicating this voyage is doable and provable to end the debate one way or another OK How much do you think an expedition like that would cost? I would rather fund a trip to circumnavigate directly south through the south pole. If you came out the other side, it proves the globe. But if not.................. |

[link to imgur.com (secure)] How does it feel to have a single digit IQ? Let me know when a cat can traverse the bitter landscape of antarctica where it's regularly -31, even in their summertime, in order to even get to the edge. Cat's cant swim either, so gl getting to antarctica in the first place. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 42079668 United States 11/28/2019 10:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OK So if you believe in globe earth theory, that means right now we are supposedly millions of miles closer to the earth and the south pole is getting 24 hour sunlight. So why is it -31 at the south pole? [link to www.timeanddate.com (secure)] I stand outside when the sun is out I can feel the heat, it quickly melts snow and ice. When the sun moves away so does it's heat. The sun is much closer than what we have been told. It locally heats and illuminates. It moves over us in a circle. That's why we feel the heat when it's close. That's why days are shorter in the winter, the sun is on a longer trek. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 42079668 United States 11/28/2019 10:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I also have a theory in regards to 24 hour sunlight in the south pole. I have a theory there's another sun or light source that we can't see. Still the sub 0 temps with direct sunlight for 24 hours don't make sense. But imagine if there's another earth pond beyond antarctica with another sun going over it. It's getting sunlight from 2 sources. But that would explain the sub 0 temps because while the light is reaching them, the heat is much further away. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 42079668 United States 11/28/2019 10:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I bet the reason why the south pole is so heavily controlled is you can not only access the other earth pond, but you can see a second sun in the distance. They don't want to have to explain this, because then people would not only want to explore, but question their religious and scientific dogma. |
