Not saying the rumor is true, but I can think of why they wouldn’t want to
announce it right away.

A) Prince Phillip is 97 and frail. He has been staying at a royal residence (Sandrignham?) quite a bit since his “retirement”. Which is 2-3 hours away. If it happened in the middle of the night,why wake him with that news? Too stressful. They would send Princess Anne (reportedly his favorite) or Prince Charles to break the news to him.

The Queen is very fond of and close to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and vice versa.. I don’t know who is where, geographically,
but I think,even though she is a very public figure,.her family shouldn’t hear about her death via social media.

..and when she does go, the whole world will be watching and waiting. There hasn’t been a monarchical death in 60 years. I’m guessing that even though plans are in place and updated....no one will be quite prepared for it all. They could use the delay to think instead of just react.

I am American to the core and don’t “get” why anyone would be a subject, but still and all...she has been an amazing Head of State and I’d be sorry if it were true.

I had a bizarre dream last night that I became a King and everyone started being real nice to me, but a lot of the feeling people didn't really like me. Just obligatory or self-serving kindness and a lot of people bending over backwards to do things for me. Was a really weird dream. I'm about the same age as William and people used to say I looked like him when we were both much younger. Wonder if there's a connection to William grabbing reign. I never have had a dream like that. Didn't seem connected at all to what things have happened to me recently nor anything I've thought about.
