Need a dream interpretation. Is this dream litteral or symbolic?
I was in a house standing in the corner next to what I can only describe as an angel.

In the room with us was all my family and a couple of friends.

The angel said "go and say goodbye to them all".

And he led me around from person to person (they could not see the angel btw) and I hugged them and said my goodbyes.

After I had said goodbye to everyone I took the angel aside and asked "whats all this about anyway...am I going home soon?"

The angel said "yes...your time here is nearly over and its time to say farewell to all you knew"

This dream was LUCID. I can still feel the wmotions and the feelings and remember the thoughts I was thinking during the dream.

Anyone know what it means?

If I am going to die...well...great.

If not...then what?

I wouldn't have any dealings with angels.

Unless you know very well how to talk to them.

Listen politely to his message, and if he is still hanging around, give him an order and send him back to God.

Don't let any deceptive spirit tell what to do, or when you are done.

There has been a post like this before, and I've said this before.

(Sometimes I think I'm hanging around too long, but I like to see what the kids are up to.)

And one thing I didnt do in the dream was test the angel.

Normally I would do so.

This time I didnt.

So it could just be a trick to make me give up.

Maybe it's your subconscious playing out what you're thinking about.

I don't think about death. I know when I'm extra stressed I have horrible dreams, the 'worst that could happen' dreams. Maybe this was symbolic in a way. Have you changed your lifestyle at all? Have you quit some bad habits? Maybe saying goodbye to some things in your life that you should be saying goodbye to and the family members represent those things?

This dream happenned just after I moved house.
And I have not seen my family except for my dad and sister for 2 years.

But whats really weird is how lucid it was.

I never have lucid dreams...not like this.

Re: Need a dream interpretation. Is this dream litteral or symbolic?
Lucid dreaming refers to a state of consciousness where a person is aware they are dreaming, during the dream, while they are still asleep.

And yes, while lucid dreaming, the meaning of the dream is still symbolic. everything in a dream is symbolic, rarely is anything portrayed in a dream just as it is in waking life.

As you get more comfortable with being able to do lucid dreaming, you'll be able eventually to begin changing your dream while you are still sleeping. A lot like editing a scene while watching the movie.

That said... let's look at your dream itself..

A house in a dream symbolizes your inner self.

A corner symbolizes feelings of being trapped/restricted, or hidden or little admitted aspects of yourself. However, such a boundary or restriction might produce a sense of security while you are looking at these aspects of yourself.

Standing in the corner with others in the room symbolizes that you may be feeling exposed to the scrutiny of others (even though family, loved ones), especially in making decisions about unplanned events, or in an abrupt way, unexpectedly.

An angel in the dream standing next to you can symbolize the positive side of your relationship with your mother, or it can be about your religious (spiritual) concepts/beliefs. The angel could even symbolize your feeling a need for a parental figure (or spiritual leader) to guide or instruct you in decision making, such as wisdom arising from a newly found wider awareness. Also can represent the wiser you that you will become once life decisions are made and carried out.

Family symbolizes the positive/negative thoughts, values, attitudes, feelings, impressions, acceptance, etc that you have experienced and absorbed from your family members.

Friends in a dream symbolize the inner intuitive feelings you use to encourage and advise yourself.

Saying goodbye in a dream symbolizes letting go what no longer serves you well, leaving it behind you, as you step forward into new experiences, new life.

Put all this together and reread your dream, see if any of what I've said applies to you. Especially the part where the angel says "..... say farewell to all you knew". (likely means what you may be feeling about all that you've been taught to believe, value, feel, think, accept...... )

One could have this dream when making decisions about their life and planning new/better directions in life, vs all that they've been taught is 'the right way'.

Does any of this fit for you, OP?

This dream recurs because you are not 'getting the message' of the dream. It will intensify each time until you actually 'get it'. This could eventually turn into nightmare form unless you try and find the meaning now. Once you do 'get the message', you won't have this dream again. :)

It's a warning message of something not right in your waking life.

The fact that you wake up just as the bear bites down, shows that the dream is a warning.. a 'wake up call', so to speak.

Do you remember anything else about the dream? How you feel, during and after? Hear anything? See anything else?

A bear in a dream can symbolize emotions in your life, likely having to do with those feelings/emotions that you have repressed or put on the back burner, not really wanting to get into all that.

Not just 'a bear' in your dream, but 'a grizzly bear', which indicates the more wild side of you, as opposed to say, a teddy bear. And so in turn, would represent the stronger, less tame emotions and feelings. Those that could be threatening, hard to manage or even admit to yourself.

Could even be those type of feelings, emotions having to do with conflict, depression or self examination as a part of a healing cycle, an ongoing process, that may feel never-ending. So one may want to just shove it all away to deal with later. Perhaps.

A person who has this going on in their waking life could also have a dream that they are drowning. It's the same type of feeling of being threatened as the grizzly bear who is about to bite our head off. Feelings and emotions that are sooooooo overwhelming, one tries to back away. But eventually they come crashing down on a person, who needs to deal with those things.

Search your waking life and see if any of this rings true for you.

Re: Need a dream interpretation. Is this dream litteral or symbolic?
A friend of mine once had a dream near exactly like yours, a bit different, but the intent is the same.

He dreamed he was on top of a large building and in the center was like an art gallery in the which were pictures of his family. He was led around and shown them all one by one after which he was led over to the to the edge of the building. Looking down he saw a vortex of dark clouds and he felt compelled to jump in.

He asked me about it, I prayed, and this was the answer given to him: He was facing a choice which would lead to him losing his family.

Immediately he hated me though before we were very close, and he never spoke to me again until he left the company for a new job.

I saw him a few years later, golfed with him, and he told me how taking that job offer led to his family leaving him and ending in divorce: the dream was a warning but he didn't listen, instead chose to hate the messenger and miss the guidance our father was speaking to him.

I don't think you need any interpretations my friend, do as you were told. If you have anything against any, forgive them and let them know.

Re: Need a dream interpretation. Is this dream litteral or symbolic?

You were in the corner, your family and a couple of friends were not?

Usually... just thinking here... usually that means: we are not requiring you to go forth and help others... that wasn't an angel btw. That's impossible... (I THINK.)
“All sacrificing without faith and divine desire is an abonimation before God, and does not reach the gate of divine glory; but if man enters therein with the power of faith, he surrenders to it his free will, and desires by that means, and through its instrumentality, to enter into the eternal free will of God.” (Mysterium, xxvii. 13.)
