SON OF God

Matthew 16

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

These are the statements that Jesus made which show His subserviance and obedience to the Father.

...the Father is GREATER than I. John 14:28 & John 10:29

14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

...I do ONLY the Father's Will. John 6:37-39

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

...I PRAY to the Father. Matthew 26:36-42, Mark 14:32-39 & John 17

Matthew 26:36-42

36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Mark 14:32-39

32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;
34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.
35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.

He sure has a funny look in his eyes, like he can scarcely believe it himself, but it's blowing his mind a little.

Sure, why not?

Christian themed movies range from the hilarious to the trying-too-hard.

The reality was very different, and Jesus never claimed to be God.

No Son of God could ever be so confused.

And God doesn't make confusion.

Let the religions chase their confusions, like puppies chasing their tails.

The son of God had more important things to do than wow the crowds and discuss theology with peasants.

Sorry about the terms, if they trigger you.

There's nothing better in this whole world, than Yeshua kicking ass.

They thought they eliminated Him at the cross. But the whole world will marvel at His return.

He left as the Sacrificial Lamb. But He will return as the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Liberals and Pharisees are at two opposite ends of the spectrum, but equally doomed.

SON OF God

33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;

No you can't change what Jesus said. Jesus said that God is good

And Jesus called Himself good:

“I am the good shepherd, who is willing to die for the sheep.

I am the good shepherd. As the Father knows me and I know the Father, in the same way I know my sheep and they know me. And I am willing to die for them.

Can't change what Jesus SAID. This is correct then!

"my Father, your Father, my God, your God"

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

=============================================
Jesus NEVER said "I am God".

"Before Abraham" etc...doesn't mean that He is the "I AM" from Genesis.

Jesus doesn't say "I am who (that) I am".

His use of the phrase "I am" is uniqueness as the onlybegotten son of God

Here's MORE times Jesus used the phrase "I am".

Mark 14:61-62

61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Luke 22

70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.

John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
