It is absolutely dead set impossible for there to be a God.

By using logic only, you will not know that there is a God. Logic CAN play a part. But it's like trying to taste with your ear. It requires a heart sense so to speak. Put another way unconditional love for all things. Put another way a sense of connection with all things even rocks and the earth, the chair, etc. Put another way, it requires faith. Using a combination of logic, faith, connection, unconditional love, opens the door enough to partially get a glimpse. Meditation helps. Going within. Finding the heaven within ourselves that is connected with the true heaven. Yes you could logically explain away all kinds of emotions God oriented people have. But you can't explain away the connection if you experience it in it's truest form. Don't give up. Develop your 6th sense so to speak so you can truly taste with your mouth instead of your ear.

About how you were sure he was there then there seemed nothing.

That is because we can become addicted to the "grace" and almost expect it when he owes us nothing and us to him everything, and that feeling of nothing, being lost rejected, it is there then gone is what eternity is in Hell, total lack of God.

Without that you wouldnt get the bigger lesson he is giving you.

This is well written and described by the two heavyweight and greatest Mystics of the Church two great saints who describe exactly what you talk about, and explain it and why, he is puryfying your soul, though if you do not keep on chasing him and reject and fall for the lie of the Evil One you are abandoned and without him he does not exist, after death that might be.

He wants you to keep believing, loving, changing, be humbled, relaise you need him all comes from you and Love him for him being him as such, and the grace goodies we get are not to be the thing we are looking for, though just to adore, follow, do, be a good child of no matter what is going on, otherwise like in Lust etc you mistake the creator for the creature or created.

He is like to us like us with a Puppy, we give it treats to train it slowly, though if we turn and attack the other kids constantly shit on the couch and around the house and never do what is ordered his commandments or love him just for the sake of it, like dogs do when their owner arrives home we might end up in the pound or chucked out and even put down.

She describes this very well. All of the Saints go through this to more of a degree than us, St Padre Pio was cast adrift for years, no graces, no help, his Gaurdian Angel Singing the Psalms as the evil one literraly beat him up physically for night after night month after month, actually with bruises and markings non stop, that gaurdian Angel until then had been close and protective, he had for years had many supernatural graces and good things a connection to god like a best friend then BAM and he didnt do anything unlike us to deserve that being out of friendship.

He describes it well, he was convinced he was abandoned and forsaken.

Also remember those he tests the most he loves the most, but also expects the most of, read the parable of the talents, what will you do with that coin you have been given, will your master put you to death? or give you more and more heaped on that.

That experience doesn’t at all negate God’s existence. Just because you were wrong about spirituality before, doesn’t mean that all spiritual beliefs are wrong. Such thinking is foolish.

Some will say the big bang theory proves how we became, but there couldnt have been a big bang if nothing existed

Well, where did they come from? How were they created?
