I personally dedicated my life to being a servant of Jesus and it completely changed my life. Everyday i wake up full of meaning, as I could save somebody any day and anytime, and its the greatest thing in my life. Money cant compare with the joy of saving someone. This life is but a test, will you fall to the pressures and conform to the satanic media, or will you be strong and persevere for what is right and commanded by God, and go on to live in a better place on judgement day? Do i still work a job making those that hate me rich.......yes, but I make sure to read the bible on the clock :)

there is a meaning and purpose to life. When you find it, it makes everything else fall in line, and the necessities of existence become much less about yourself and more about others.
The secret is this..... family.
Lifes purpose is to multiply. To create and care for more life. All other things are ultimately meaningless and trivial.
You feel this truth now, because you are missing this part of the equation.
Find a woman, start a family, you will quickly realize what it is you go to work everyday for... and will find purpose in guiding and supporting your children.

As stated in your OP you are choosing to make the bare minimum to get by.

So to answer you question yes you do if you want to survive. You have the option to work harder and find a better paying job or staying at your mediocre income level and hope for a miracle.

Really a simple choice

Just remember when you hop around jobs and don’t invest in a 401k or pension youre damming yourself later in life.

Pretty much. The only way to get any kind of freedom is to own your own business. Then, you basically win the game and steal other people’s labor instead of them stealing most of what yours is worth.

Or you could go live in the wilderness off the land. I wish I could do that. It’s a lot harder than people think; not because it is hard to do that really but there are so many regulations and obstacles. It’s almost like you aren’t allowed to do what should be natural. I think that life would be a lot more simple and fulfilling.

I think one of the main reasons we don’t have fulfillment is that if you go to the store and buy eggs for example. You didn’t raise those chickens. You go out and buy a tv and you didn’t build that tv. Your labor isn’t very disconnected from the fruits of your labor.

If you lived off the land and gathered your food and built your own house; you would be much more proud and fulfilled with the work you have done. And your family would be tight knit unlike all the split up families of today

Labor IS disconnected I mean. And you lose much of the value of your labor by having your employer provide your job. Pretty much any job if you could contract your labor and be your own company; you would earn much much more and that is what the labor is truly worth. Living off the land; there would be no loss of that labor value

The nature of our reality forces us to get up each day and fill the day with activities more or less. Everything is relative. I bet everybody here at some point in their life has experienced poverty. We all know what it's like to be skint, and i'm sure most of us here know what it's like to be comfortable with no debts and lots of savings. You can hide yourself away in a cave as a recluse or manage several 100 people within a busy company or exist somewhere in the middle. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't, so one may as well just get on with it as best as you are able to with the tools you have available. Avoid regrets, AVOID REGRETS.

What is the alternative? Some kind of nirvana that has never existed? So you work for 60 years, so what? You are still living in an age where life is better, longer and more comfortable for the average person than it ever has been since the dawn of mankind. It was only a few hundred years ago that even the richest kings were reading by candle light, sweating or freezing without air conditioning or heat and shitting in holes in the ground. Life is tragic. Always has been. Always will be. If you are seeking some kind of grand happiness, it doesn't exist. It is the small things that make life precious. Learn to spot them.

Doesn’t matter how much money you make. After you reach above poverty level so that all your needs are provided for; you won’t get any happier. Usually the rich buy more and bigger stuff and have more obligations. So, the vast majority are chained to earning income and working. Even passive income takes work and maintenance. It certainly isn’t freedom. And it often feels really pointless BECAUSE IT IS. And if you buy into the idea that you should work your ass off to be able to have more stuff like society and the media want you to believe so you buy more stuff; then, you are wasting your life and it is a pointless one

Depends what “stuff” you’re referring to.

My wife has a small business that we were able to create based off my good income to support the start up costs.

After that we starting purchasing property, we just bought our second lot and collectively own 10 acres now.

And if you’re unhappy in life you’re correct monetary value doesn’t fix this, but it sure makes it easier to get by without struggling paycheck to paycheck.

A house, nice cars, good wife, and great kids add to the pleasures in my life as well. Coupled with traveling to different countries with my wife and the ability to take up sailing as a hobby has made me pretty damn happy.

Happiness is all about what you choose to pursue.

One of the main elements to this journey is state of mind. Positive mental attitude is paramount. Such a shame then that there are many technological vampiric devices that directly cause depression and rage and cancer.
