Wow, this thread provoked a lot of responses. I must confess I read the first page and the last.

OP. You have it sort of skewed. There is nothing wrong with "work". It can and should be as rewarding and satisfying as anything else you get out of life. That's why it is important to figure out what you are good at, and enjoy doing and feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction from it as well as the livelihood it provided.

There is no satisfaction in doing nothing in life and just sitting by a pool all day idle or in front of a tv as many think is the "good life". But, they become bored of that, too soon enough.

God and satan can both go fuck themselves.

I would never praise God or satan. They are both psychos.

Dude, welcome to intelligentsia. People who think this life has actual worth are in a fantasy. There are people in Haiti who are lucky if they get a bowl of under-cooked rice.

What you might want to do is fool your mind into a level of worth by tricking its gratitude system. For example, get up and take a very cold shower for as long as you can. Then turn on the hot water, and immediately you feel a contrast between something bad and good. Stop eating for a while... starve as long as you can, and then go eat an incredible meal.

No? Then I guess that the notion that people really ARE born into sin is absolutely correct.

There has only been ONE who never sinned. And He was despised by people just like this.

Thankfully, we can be reconciled to God by accepting the free gift of eternal life, by having Christ's sinless record applied to our own life, if we merely believe and have faith in His ability to wash us clean in the eyes of God the Father.

But God cannot work with the proud, or with denial of sin.

Those who come to God are usually humbled, first. Sometimes dramatically.

I would just gently say to you, that I understand where you are at. I played the game of 'rat race', 'get ahead', graduate college and become a CPA. Work for the largest Accounting Firm in the world, have a marriage and raise a family.

I did all of that, and I was largely successful.

Here is a very poignant truth, that I will share, Somebody/Something, way more powerful than me, clubbed me in the head with a tire iron...or something.

I will call it the Holy Spirit. I HAVE NO RELIGION, so to speak. Because, I don't trust any of the lot of them.

But long about, 10 years ago, I went to Israel. (Or so I thought), because I'm never sure where we truly are. I went with the Church I was a member of, at the time.

To make a very long story short, when I returned from the "Holy Land" after this trip, I was noticeably hacked, in every single of my systems. I couldn't go to my Aunts house and use her computer without noticing it, I couldn't use my parents computers without noticing the hacking.

I could not conscionably continue my practice, because I saw every governmental, 3 letter name, on my computer. FBI,CIA, DOD, DOJ, IRS, FCC, on at nauseum.

No one would believe me, and no one wanted to try to help me. But I knew I was hacked. I spent thousands of hours, trying to figure out how and why.

I will tell you this now, IT DOES MEAN SOMETHING. This is the first time I've told you this partial story on this forum.

I've been tortured, put in jail, lost my family and my friends, because I would never betray Jesus Christ. He told me I would be persecuted. I was never prosecuted, but they kept me in jail for a year.

This IS MY TESTIMONY. There is no such thing as AMERICA, that covenant was broken. There is no such thing as the Constitution, that has been proven.
