Major, major economic numbers

The November jobs report was released this morning, and it's a hoo-boy-er.

The U.S. economy added 266,000 jobs 9 ( [link to disrn.us20.list-manage.com (secure)] in November, smashing economists' expectations of 187,000 and turning in the best jobs growth number since January 2019.

Unemployment dropped to 3.5%, matching 2019's low — which was the lowest rate since 1969 — and beating economists' expectations of 3.6%.

These are really, really good numbers, especially while supposedly sliding down the backside of a rally into an inevitable correction.

Any of you follow Jim Cramer? Or did you, especially back during the Great Recession? Does "THEY KNOW NOTHING!" ( [link to disrn.us20.list-manage.com (secure)] mean anything to any of you? (This was when he called the recession before it happened in a major TV freakout.)

Anyway, he's a famous financial pundit. He chimed in with a doozy of an interview this morning. [link to disrn.us20.list-manage.com (secure)]

He's no Trump slappy — he's just a financial guy, a stock market guy. And he really knows what he's talking about.

Here are some choice quotes from his interview:

"People don't want to say good things, and this is the best number I've ever seen in my life!"

"It has to go up, Joe, because when we win the trade war — which you know we're going to win now, because we have the better numbers — then they're going to have to put jobs here. That's what they're going to have to do. We're not even talking about that yet. In the end the Chinese are going to have to put jobs here. The president can walk away from the table with this number."

"You and I both know — 50 years, OK, now I'm 64. You can't contradict that these are the best numbers of our lives. You can't!"

"I don't see inflation, I don't see recession. 50 years ago that number was a curse. Now it's a blessing."

"You know something, Joe? It doesn't matter whether you hate [Trump] or like him, these are real numbers."
