Originally stemmed from open world games like GTA. They are the “extras” in the background. Walking around with no purpose but the one given to them by the programmer. They just fill the background like in the movies. They are also called “organic portals” or “fillers”. They have no original though and cannot be aware of being aware of themselves. When you go outside, they are everywhere. If you are not an iPhone zombie you can spot them everywhere. Yeah I see things like that when I'm out. Like I wonder what they be up to. Like they feel different then the "regular" people. Lots of homeless seem that way to me sometimes.
