About time!

I wonder if the car manufacturers will have to start selling their special tools and scanners to the public, too. It's a fucking scam to stop car owners from fixing their own car by building them in a way that requires special tools to fix, and refusing to sell these tools except to licensed shops.

actually, that’s not good. It means they are planning for you to have to maintain your machines for a long long time. Because you will be broke and starving.

It sucks to have a car where changing the plugs requires:

A) You remove the intake manifold.
B) Use properietary tools.

I'm sure I could get funding from EU to develop a gas-absorbing butt plug with a pipe that leads to a storage vessel you carry on your waist.

That way the fart gases could be collected and then deposited in some communal storage where it could be used to warm up the homes.

Once the butt plug is made mandatory by law, we all will be able to fight the Climate Change personally.

So funny. The Lucas electrical system is done, then. THat's the one in Jaguars and Range Rovers NO ONE wants to work on because Lucas purposely made the system impossible to work on if you weren't given the scheme.

Re: It is soon illegal in EU to produce unrepairable products or products that require proprietary tools to repair
My brother had a diesel smart car a few years ago. One of the glow plugs. You needed a special extractor set to get it out that was worth something like 800 bucks from the dealer.

It had 4 or five pieces to it, nothing particularly extravagant. It was about 10 ounces of steel in total, you could make the whole set yourself in about an hour with a lathe and milling machine, if you were set up for it.

Total ripoff. I told him he should go into business knocking off those sets and selling them for $150. He could make a fortune just fucking around in his spare time.

Remove the intake to get to the plugs? I haven't seen that.
