2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [ link to www.biblegateway.com (secure)] As I remember, this Bible verse used to be different, the sky was rolled up and the stars fell down, or something like that.The way this verse is now, it sounds almost like modern physics. And btw - "in the which" - is this English grammar? Shouldn't it be "in which"? Stars/meteors falling to earth do generate heat and fire and roll up the sky.
