The Merge of All Operating Systems into One

Maybe all religions should merge into one coherent religion.

That could simplify many complicated struggles with any of religions across all of this planet.

To me, it is a paradox. An universal operating system in order to allow individuals to express differently while at same time can communicate / translate / etc in understandable way (eg. universal) for everyone.

It is already happened. We just don't know about it yet.

Yep,with quantum computing it will be easy to merge the different systems.higher speeds make all systems easy to merge.the interfaces with each other will be the struggle,once that code is wrote,lightning fast coms.

Assuming one is good but quantum computes both good and bad simultaneously?

Differing equipment requires differing OS's

Every piece of tech that needs to operate with functions requires specialized OS to work with that equipment.

But you do realize that most OS's can communicate with each other don't you.

It already is. The Linux guy has worked for Microsoft since the middle of last summer and for a lot longer then that Apple uses Ubuntu as it's frontend and you pay for a pretty version of it. A lot of apps on Ubuntu are experimental versions of what goes on later in Apple you pay thru the nose for.

The Microsoft people fired 3/4ths of their PC workers during the development of Windows 8 as they didn't want to go the phone route and since then Microsoft has been broken.

MS really needed to just keep improving XP as their was a 64 bit XP and should've just kept it being better as XP was most user friendly due to everything being named simple.

It took me a LONG time to get used to 7's settings where XP is simple to find things. XP SP3 was the best. Vista is more XP then 7 but kinda merged both but had no drivers so was quickly discontinued. It's actually a decent OS if it had drivers.

Will never happen for as long as capitalism exists.

Originally MS was going to charge a monthly subscription for Win 10 and it didn't end well with fans that crashed their email server. These companies are all out to lunch thinking people only want a phone and apps though at this point it really doesn't matter without software industries.

An OS is pretty much a computer with blinking lights without software and I don't mean Skyrime or FPS from the same few companies over and over in disguise. Look at XP's list of software we had WAY more companies offering unique stuff.

The goal was to be a library in a box and it worked. XP computers were finally getting stable and not so crash prone unless you did VERY dumb stuff where as 95 and ME were a lot more crashy.

Under XP computers were lasting 5 to 8 years and it was a simple enough OS that elderly were taking classe to learn how to use it. My (then) 90 year old grandma took a class in it just as the shift to Vista was happening and a lot of these people dropped out as Vista was too confusing with no drivers and lack of compatibility for most software.

7 sort of fixed it but mostly 32 bit Windows 7 but by then a lot of people shined on computers and went to phone as it was pushed as a PC in your pocket which it is anything BUT.
