Australians can be fined up to $1250 for swearing on social media. [ link to australianews-today.com (secure)] Anyone caught in New South Wales, can be fined up to $660 or might even be required to complete up to 100 hours of community service. While in South Australia the maximum penalty is $1250 or three months’ imprisonment. Queensland and Victoria also enforce the stand and clearly define the language as ‘disorderly, offensive, threatening, indecent, and violent.’ Swearing on social media on public posts is classed the same. This has been confirmed by a solicitor. Quoting: Me 77955706 So does this mean Donald Trump's profanity laden speeches will no longer be allowed to air in Australia?
