Do you live in Japan? If so, what city?

Sometimes. I guess from a Buddhist perspective, no. From a Christian perspective, yes. I go back and forth.

I live in Tokyo, like 1/4 of Japan.
I’m half Japanese half American and spent most of my childhood in the states.

Are you a Buddhist?

Sort of. I try to reconcile Christian Ideals I like the best with Buddhist ideas I like best. It isn’t always easy.

Do you believe in reincarnation?

I suppose so, but I’m not sure there is a “nugget of self” that gets passed on. People’s constituents get mixed up in the Bardo.

one harsh question, how do the Japanese see the ww2 period, as winners or losers?

Pretty much everyone knows that Japan lost. There are a few nutcases who stubbornly hold on the old ideals but 99.9999% would say a massive lost.

Are there any UFO sightings in Tokyo?

Did anyone living in Tokyo tell you they saw a UFO?

I'm excited about UFOs.

There is a huge UFO underground culture here. Lots of interest in the topic, sightings, etc.

One of the prime minster’s (I forget which one) wives from the 90s or 2000 claims she was abducted by aliens and taken to Venus. She wrote a book about it, much to the PM’s embarrassment.

The young ones certainly seem to. I’m middle-aged so all that is after my time but sometimes I go to a retro-arcade with old stand-up machines and play Pac-Man or Asteroids or one of the old fist-fighting games.

I think it’s a classic “axis Mundi” myth of the type that many cultures have...like Mt. Olympus or shamanic journeys up the “pole connecting heaven and earth,” etc.

What kind of music do you listen to?

Very chilled-out drone and ambient.
