Around a 1000 years ago Europe was a dump, compared to China and India, where civilization flourished at that time. Everything goes around in circles, China is just coming back to where it was in the past, the only question is how long it will last this time, as history is speeding up.

Without US businesses and the government giving them/selling them technology since around 1980 this wouldn't have happened.

The Chinese are playing the long game. They have been stealthily buying up industry, resources, infrastructure and real estate all over the world. By the time people wake up and realize what's going on it's too late to change anything.

It's all about resources. China has taken over raw material resources and can bring the world to its knees. They have taken over Australia and Africa has been under their wing for almost 15 years. Another part of the the soon to be WWIII puzzles coming.

I don't know about the US, but here in BC it's thanks to a corrupt Provincial government starting back in the days of Expo 86 who took bribes and kickbacks for decades. Also concessions from the federal government, both liberal and fake conservative. And anyone that says out loud what is obvious to anyone that's lived here a long time gets called a racist. Canadians are so afraid of being called that they just bow their heads and carry on when we should be in the streets demanding our city, province, country back.
