We had an odd thing with my son, just shooting a '22. He was crap. And then I said 'switch shoulders' and it was spot on every time. You have to look and watch and train children. Fucking dusty gun in a drawer bullshit. It was odd, I shoot using my right shoulder but when I use a recurve, I use my left shoulder. One small shift made him a great shot.

One of my sisters was the same way, Lance. Right handed and left eyed. But left eyed on both bows and firearms. And she could never hit a baseball either. It was weird. But the thumb trick is the answer. Sight the thumb with both eyes open thumb covering the "target". The close one eye, if the "target" jumps, try the other eye. Whichever eye jumps less is you dominant eye. So shoot that way. :)

Had a friend that had the same thing. Couldn't hit a paper plate from 5 feet away until we figured out the dominant eye. It really was kinda scary!
