Re: Did God set up your marriage?

cause the heart that portrays itself willingly
Is like a nation that trades freedom for stability
Its so seductive to be cold and corrupted and isolated and try to be an independent republic
But liberty to be loved on the surface is worthless
The sacrifice of revolution with no purpose

Re: Did God set up your marriage?
I told Jesus to have my wife ask me to marry her. Well the girl who I met told me to marry her, and demanded it, and said she wanted me to, but never asked. She turned out to be.. very problematic.

The next woman in my life I heard Jesus ask me, Are you sure you want to be with ____? A day later when I said yes he set us up. Since he divorced us I gained this perspective, that he was asking me because it was not his perfect will, but that he could make it happen.

With the first girl I learned more with her in my life and with the second I learned more after.

Trust Jesus no matter what you go through and don't be afraid to learn, only afraid to displease the Lord.

I'm jealous. I wish God would do the same for me. But here is the problem, I dont want a man that has children, lazy, gross, has been married, under 30, immoral, selfish, smoke or drink. Does this human being exist??? I wont settle for anyone else in the world. Will be alone and though I'm alright about it...I may need to adopt a child. I am too old at 33, way to risky to have children at my age

everyone is selfish

now watch this

no kids
not lazy (I have a full time job)
not gross (I bathe frequently, clean clothes)
never been married
not under 30
not immoral
do not smoke
do not drink
do not do drugs

no one is complete or perfect

Do you realize a lot of people will see you as no fun with little appeal because of this?

What do you think people want in a partner, someone judgmental who judges them and everyone else every day, or someone supportive who forgives people when they have faults and help them walk forward on their journey in life?

If you have time to post here you are as lazy as the rest of us.

Not lazy as in I dont want to work at all. And he can have faults. This list isnt perfect. But he doesn't have to make alot of money, without children we would be ok. And he doesn't have to be that good looking. He can be a momas boy. He can fart , cuss, and laugh like a weirdo. This list is not perfect.

My wife went to a good psychic who told her my name and description 4 years before we met.

The police in our city use her on occasion.

Jesus divorced you? I doubt that. Unless you divorced for marital infidelity, your divorce didn't have Jesus' blessing.

Re: Did God set up your marriage?
Did you know beforehand who your spouse would be?
 Quoting: ~Natalie~

God set up my marriage.

I had known my spouse before hand.

I had reached a point where I was being broken I was ready to give up. I said to God if you don't give me some sign before the end of the week I am coming home early.

4 days later I ran into my wife to be and became happy again.

No doubt my wife is a gift from God and I to her.

With that laundry list of unacceptable factors who are clearly not trusting faith to bring you the right partner.

Re: Did God set up your marriage?
Yes, I believe God did set up my marriage. I got pregnant and told the father. He wanted to marry me, so we got married. His personality did a 180. Where before our marriage, he was sweet and considerate, afterward, w/in a short period of time, he became very abusive. For a while, I felt like I deserved the abuse because I had gotten pregnant. After our son was born, i changed my mind. There was no way that I wanted him to grow up thinking it was okay to act like his dad. I too our son and left.

After a couple of years, I met the man who would become my present husband. He was kind and treated both my son and I with love and respect. I had a decent relationship with my first husband so that our son would never feel like he was in a tug-of-war. I told my then boyfriend(husband) that he had to get along with my ex or we could not have a relationship because my son needed to feel secure. He agreed.

The day after Christmas, 2019, marked our 38th wedding anniversary.

Sadly, husband #1 died of a cocaine overdose in December 1985.
The following Father's Day, my son asked my husband if he would adopt him. Of course, after a few tears, he said that he would love to adopt him because he already felt that he was his son. The adoption would just be a formality.

I feel that God felt I had paid for my sins throughout my first marriage and that He put my now husband in my path.
