Sometimes sleep paralysis is not sleep paralysis.

I think you may have entered the astral, but did not know how to recognize what was happening, or how to banish the nasties. Yes, there are many nasties out there.
 Quoting: Lady Jayne Smith

Is that similar to an OBE? I described some of my flying/falling dreams to a friend and was told that I had gone out of my body.
 Quoting: CosmicFire

Yes, it is out of body.
 Quoting: Lady Jayne Smith

Those "nasties" are the same things you usually see during bad hallucinations. They look like small triangle bodied creatures with HUGE mouths and triangle teeth, like a shark. Just like The Tasmanian Devil cartoon. They have a cartoon color and growl and bunch up in front of you making threatening gestures but they never really do anything more. Horrible experience when it happens but also comically absurd. I've heard many cartoonists dropped acid for drawing inspiration. Anytime I see one in advertising, or in cartoons, I recognize them instantly as demons.

People who invoke "our democracy" really mean "their power." We are not now, nor have we ever been, a democracy. That's deliberate Communist word shifting. We are a constitutional republic.

I've had sleep paralysis many times.

Never any hallucinations I just can't move and I try to force myself to move.

It happens so often i've just learned the trick to stopping it is relaxing.

You sound like you're exaggerating.

Re: My Latest Sleep Paralysis Experience
I experience sleep paralysis about once every 1-2 months for the last 10-15 years. Usually it involves demons or dark shadowy figures. Anyways, last night was the most intense I've ever had, yet slightly different, so felt like this is the place to share.

Basically everything was fine in my dream, I was in a different and peaceful setting when suddenly my sisters pointed behind me and said watch out. At that point my eyes open up and I'm in my bedroom, completely paralyzed unable to move. I somehow roll out of the bed onto the floor. The bedroom door (which was closed and locked) opened and demon hands arms grabbed me and tried pulling me through the door into the hallway. I can't really remember what happened next, but eventually I woke up in bed and was finally able to move. The bedroom door I had closed and locked was open, and the glass of water I keep on the ground next to bed was spilled. Anyways, This is where things always end, but it didn't end here even though I was awake. I turned on the TV and lights on in the bedroom, went to the bathroom, checked my phone and sat up watching TV. I kept hearing pounding, crashes throughout the house, things morphing as if I was tripping on shrooms/acid and continuously getting poked from 1-4am.

Anyone ever experience crazy things happening hours after your sleep paralysis has ended?

Also, probably doesn't mean anything, but I heard 6 loud knocks on my backdoor yesterday during the evening when I was in the shower. The knocking sounded like that of a police officer so I jumped out of shower to see who the fuck was pounding on my door and no one was there. I have a nest cam and no one was at front door. I also had 2 black cats cross street yesterday.lol

Ask around and find a skilled medium/psychic. The best way is to get recommendations from others or join a Spiritualist Church and see them in action.

I suspect you might need a house clearing as there may be entities around you targeting you. I have also had a sleep paralysis experience (which was terrifying) but once I awoke that was it.

The fact that you were being poked, there were strange noises and you had knocking on your door with no-one there point to a earthbound spirit trying to get your attention. You need to find the medium/psychic so they can find out what it wants and then send it to the light.
 Quoting: Cleolotus

Sounds more like an alien visit than anything else. Time to get in touch with a psychic medium to find out exactly what's going on.

Re: My Latest Sleep Paralysis Experience
This happened to me for several years, several times per night... paralysis, sense of doom, something physically on me and trying to pull me out of my body.

Always at 3 AM.

Near the end, it got so bad that when I’d fight my way out of it and go into the living room freaked the hell out to try to calm down, it would attack me there... wide awake.

Finally one night during a particularly vicious attack, I heard an internal voice tell me to command it to “begone”... and to do it in Jesus’s Name.

So that’s exactly what I did... I think the words I actually used were “IN THE NAME OF JESUS GET OFF ME!” and immediately, it was like something being physically yanked off of me... and it was over.

There were a couple of halfassed attempts after that for the next couple of nights, but each time, I’d do the same thing, and it’d stop immediately.

After that, it’s never happened again.. and that was 20 years ago.
 Quoting: ScrumpTheTexan

Jesus died at 3pm, which is probably why they attacked you at 3am. I haven't had sleep paralysis, but I did have an encounter with a demon at one point and commanded it out loud just like you did. It went away and never came back.

true, he died on april 3rd, 33AD at 3 pm

so satanists flip it on its opposite to 3AM

I got rid of mine. About 6 years ago I got sick of it, and wrenched myself out of it and yelled (thought I was yelling anyhow) Apo Pantos Kakadaemonos and it never came back. It means begone little demons in Greek and is often used by the Greek Orthodoxy. Although I seem to be more in line with the Russian Orthodoxy it seems, though considered a heretic for my belief in reincarnation.

I haven't had a sleep paralysis in many years but it would always stop when I said the Lord's Prayer. I usually wouldnt have to get all the way through before it stopped. I'm not super spiritual, but maybe I should be after that?!

A soul does not need sleep, just the body does. Souls are busy all night long in whatever realm they are working in.

Re: My Latest Sleep Paralysis Experience
Lol, I once had sleep paralysis and I was hallucinating heavily! It was very dark in the room, but I could feel a shadowy figure passing almost over my head (there was a small corridor between the bed and the wall) chanting with a female voice something about "Spiritus Sancti" (I guess something about the Holy Spirit) but since I don't know latin and these words are familiar from my English, I couldn't remember anything else of her chanting. I was scared to death and although I don't remember most of my dreams, I could remember this incident although not in its entirety. I am sure the Latin chanting I might have heard it from a horror movie since I am an avid horror movie viewer.

how did it all end? did you get back to sleep?

i mean after you were awake and still was in a more liquid reality.

thing is when you thought you were awake but reality was still strange, it was just that you were awake but in the etheric layer of our reality

your experience is a confirmation of what i was asking myself a couple of days ago. when will the etheric plane will become more solid. and seems it just happened for you.

One of my last SP episodes I woke up in a huge courtyard and all the people were wearing 15th-century clothing. A little later on there was this dude turning a wheel that was in a rock and he screaming "the penny has dropped" and then came a huge underground boom/earthquake.

I had a weird one recently. It wasn't sleep paralysis but maybe more like lucid dreaming? I felt like I was asleep but I was "aware." Anyway I was seemingly in outer space, it was black everywhere. I wasn't a person, I was like just energy or a spirit. I was traveling slowly through a series of green rings. A voice was telepathically speaking to me saying "You have died. Don't be afraid. You will be okay." At that moment I thought I had died and I remember getting mad wondering like "How the hell did I die?" then I woke up.

Narcolepsy Symptoms

Excessive daytime sleepiness
Cataplexy (sudden and temporary loss of muscle tone often triggered by emotions such as laughter)
Hallucinations (vivid dream-like experiences that occur while falling asleep or upon awakening)
Sleep paralysis (paralysis that occurs most often upon falling asleep or waking up; the person is unable to move for a few minutes)
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78266409

About 15% of people experience all four symptoms.

The following are some little known facts about narcolepsy:

Frequently, narcolepsy is unrecognized for many years. There could be a delay of 10 years between the onset of the condition and the diagnosis.
Approximately 50% of adults with narcolepsy report that symptoms began in their teenage years. For most patients, narcolepsy begins between ages 15 and 30 years. It occurs less frequently in children younger than age 10 years (6%).
Narcolepsy may lead to impairment of social and academic performance in otherwise intellectually normal children.
Narcolepsy is a treatable condition. A multi-modal approach is most effective (medications, a regular nighttime sleep schedule, and scheduled naps during the day).

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78266409

I've had Narcolepsy since I was a child. I didnt know it at the time. I thought it was completely normal for my body to go limp if I laughed too hard. Or for my hands to stop working, or my knees give out if I got nervous. Thought it was normal. Yes I felt dumb when I realized it wasnt.

I finally went to my doctor when I was having audio and visual hallucinations. I thought I was going crazy, was fully prepared to be locked up. He suggested a sleep study, I was so relieved to know I wasnt crazy.

The experience you had was your body separating from your soul. Next time embrace it and don't get scared and ENJOY the astral. A common experience people have right before astral projection is the feeling of a dark presence or entity. These people are stupid, an ordained exorcist can't even get rid of a demon.

The occult is the only way to rid your home of an unpleasant entity. People turn to the occult after a pastor or priest fails.

step 1. Read more occult books about banishing and invoking the arch angels.

Step 2. Do not fear. Fear is fuel!
