This past summer I lived in Ajijic Mexico. Bush fires started up the mountain and came down just three blocks from my hotel..... every able bodied adult both man and woman were up on the mountain with shovels, buckets a water brigade and their determination. They put out the fires before they consumed the town. This is what it takes.. Once the fire gets to the point it is at now....there is no hope except for rain which isn't coming unless technology is made public and know to come forward to extinguish the flames. The whole of Australia is burning. What a horro to know that an entire large country can have the possibility of burning to the ground. How shocking. There simply are not words. I am so sad for Australia, the people and the animals. This is utterly heartbreaking. |

I am not finding fault but if in the beginning the "people" had taken to the fire with axes, picks, shovels, buckets perhaps this could have been contained. In stead, (with all due respect to all fire departments and agencies which probably would have appreciated help).....only trained fire fighters were allowed to work the fire. The fire became too big for the number of fighters to handle. Every available adult should have been enlisted to stop the fires. Quoting: Colibri This past summer I lived in Ajijic Mexico.
